Love this series. Father Ted is one thing that makes me appreciate growing up in a Catholic school just so that I can appreciate the humour in this show so much more! I suppose you don't need to but it does help bring it out a lot more when you relate it to your childhood experiences. (Of course it's grossly exaggerated)

Only in a few places. Back in your day it was a sin to eat meat on a Friday. Back in my day Mary became immaculate. Now she is the mother of God. When I was in school she was the mother of the Son of God. Jesus said he came to glorify His Father in Heaven. Yes, there are many things in Catholicism that don't balance in the Bible. Fr Ted has shown us these short comings in the most delightful way possible.

I don't know why, but the scene of Jim Norton running with his absurdly large cape flapping in the wind terrified me as a kid. It just looked so odd, in a sinister sort of way, to a young bloke watching with his parents.

Being locked up in father Jack's underpants hamper is a fate worse than death. Personally I'd rather be fed to the dogs. .
Yeah Brennan is funny. I love the way He beckons Ted forward with His index finger, Twirls it to get him to turn around and points. I had teachers like that in school, sarcastic, authoritarian and overbearing. Bloody jesuits.

this was bigger in the UK than Ireland. This was recently rightfully voted best channel 4 comedy ever. Even above Brass Eye

Yes but this is because it was funded by and made for UK channel 4, and not made for Irish channels.

That was the best ever Father Ted episode! Every time I thought about it for days afterwards, I would burst out laughing. My friends must’ve thought that I had gone mad.
This is the funniest episode from the funniest comedy show ever made! The fact this video was made 11 years ago and is still being commented on today speaks volumes about how good Father Ted really was!

Just noticed the superb squalid details of Jack's room.
They don't quite show it in this edit, but Len busts the front door to pieces when he enters the house to confront Ted and it's simultaneously hilarious while also terrifying.

When I first saw Bishop Brennan running towards the house with the cloak outstretched.....I laughed and laughed,,,,,,,,,,,and I'm still laughing watching it now.
This is The best episode of any comedy show in history. Just sublime.

The show just got better and better with each season and thats rare for a comedy show damn shame Dermot passed away after it was finished he could have done so much more after Father Ted

Love this series. Father Ted is one thing that makes me appreciate growing up in a Catholic school just so that I can appreciate the humour in this show so much more! I suppose you don't need to but it does help bring it out a lot more when you relate it to your childhood experiences. (Of course it's grossly exaggerated)

Only in a few places. Back in your day it was a sin to eat meat on a Friday. Back in my day Mary became immaculate. Now she is the mother of God. When I was in school she was the mother of the Son of God. Jesus said he came to glorify His Father in Heaven. Yes, there are many things in Catholicism that don't balance in the Bible. Fr Ted has shown us these short comings in the most delightful way possible.

First time I watched this one, I was in Physical pain from laughing so hard, for so long, one of the best comedies ever.
The very best episode from the very best sit-com of the last 40 years of TV. It's also got the best title, 'Kicking Bishop Brennan up the Arse'. Co-writer Graham Linehan was a genius for Father Ted, and he still is. Thankyou Graham for your tireless work in protecting children and women.

One of the best episodes of Father Ted.
If Ted had reacted faster, he could've potentially hid better from Bishop Brennan. If I was him, I would've retreated into Father Jack's room and hid literally anywhere, because Father Jack's room is the last place that even in a berserker rage Brennan would never go into willingly.

This was my social groups 'who shot JR?' moment when Ted read that forfeit challenge. Needless to say we were excited for this episode and it didn't disappoint.

So many funny angles to this but what about the fact Dougal somehow managed to organise all those photos and the huge one be delivered that’s extra comedy on top
Funnyest part in that episode is when he goes to kick him an brennen turns around an Ted just flops out of the window so funny!
Love the way Dermot got his Haughey voice from Scrap Saturday into this episode, i.e. when he's drunk :)

I don't know why, but the scene of Jim Norton running with his absurdly large cape flapping in the wind terrified me as a kid. It just looked so odd, in a sinister sort of way, to a young bloke watching with his parents.
First time I watched that hitting.... Maaaan I almost ltrly died of laughing, That was the moment I realized one can truly die with laughter :D Not even joking.
