Great review ! I used to drive the 2014 1.4 tec model for Uber and I later test drove this model when I took my car in for a service. Man that car handles very well and there is very little that one can fault about it. The only thing it needs is a turbo to keep that engine punchy, the Polo TSI only has a performance advantage over the RIO. However I would still go for the Kia Rio as it is very refined and you don't have to pay a whole more for extras as compared to VW.

Great car a tad pricey but just get a used one and you good other than tires and brakes in a few years you wont spend a cent on oh and petrol. Great review sir been waiting for this nugget.

Just bought a 2018 one at around 40000km coz the New versions where just too pricey for me at aroung R330K. Still looks and feels new. Fell in love with the previous generation and when they came out with this one a few years back, they resembled the Hyundai I20 a bit until ofcourse ,a few years later, they kept on revamping this beauty. Truly does feel like the only thing they need is to go the turbo route and they will kill this segment. Looking forward to what they will do to the Rio in the next generation. Great review brother. Your suprise and show as you went through corners, warmed my heart 🙌🏿😅

I’m going to say confidently Kia Rio... Honestly yes a polo has better screwed together interior but when I have to fork out over 300K for a Polo equipped as well as this Kia I have to say... Kia

Hahah 🤣😂... That question. If you planning on keeping the car for a long time, I'd advise you to get a motor plan/extended motor warranty. You pay like R250 p/m and you are insured for mechanical and electrical faults. Do some research on it.

Feel like they missed a trick by not going the turbo route, naturally aspirated engines in such small capacities are thoroughly underwhelming. I’m running a 1.0tsi with 200NM and the three pot engine is a peach. Kia needs to get with the times. Great video bro.
