Super stuff that mate, another gem you have found, we had fun there when we went a couple of weeks ago. Could be some really good fish in there if a bit of time is put in there.

@@Fishinginbangkok I didn't mate, fished Tawadbet the day before and didn't do very well so decided to fish the Chao lake, was a bit half assed as only really had tackle for tawadbet so was a bit all over the place. Shame really as it was a good interesting day.

@@Fishing_in_Thailand there is always next time. I fished it again a few weeks after i made this video and we had a few nice big Pacu and small chaw's. not a bad spot and i see on facebook he spent some time fixing the platform. god that platform is a death trap.

@@Fishinginbangkok Nice mate, we didn't see any Pacu or have any bite offs. Quite unique really with so many chao in there. Seen some cracking Mekong landed and with the chance of getting one of the Siamese in there it could well hold some great fish. Know how long the lake has been there. I went in the lake after Callums rod and the silt a little way out from the bank was incredibly soft and knee deep which suggests weightless feeders would be a good idea and also suggests the lake has been there a long time and is pretty shallow now, similar to JJS where the fish fight hard and go sideways a lot as they cant dive.

@@Fishing_in_Thailand yes m8 could be some good fish hiding in there. I don't know how long its been there but its not new that's for sure judging by the state of the bank and the condition of the photos is the main building. did you take a look at there facebook? some of the Mekong are very respectable. are you guys going to go to Bungburapha fishing park Thailand บึงบูรพา ฟิชชิ่งปาร์ค? i see they keep stocking fish mostly Mekong but a few siamese carp and I think I remember seeing some Salween catfish

Hi mate what part of Bangkok is this lake??Im staying in Lat krabang for a few nights to fish Alligator lake after watching your videos.Getting a bit cheesed off with paying falang Bungsumran prices each year so looking to fish some cheaper venues. Many thanks

they don't sell meat here for fishing so if your interested in fishing for a chawpraya you will need to go to the super market and grab some meet before you get there. then you just need to keep it away from the ants long enough to get a fish.

Off topic but I have a question, I fish with an ultralight rod and reel, is there any wild lakes and rivers in thailand that are suitable for ultralight fishing?

yes. all wild rivers lakes and cannels are suitable. With the pollution and over fishing most fish left are small so UL would be good. Take a look at my other videos where I am fishing From rafts on the river or the dams. UL would be good in these locations.

what brand hook You used for these fish and what size? thanks new sub here

Hi I don't remember exactly but I am thinking a size 13,14 or15 hook. That's a Thai size hook. and brand would be gamakatsu or Sumo
