For as far as I know, "made in California" means the last button or seam was done in California. Besides that, the rest of the garment was done by underpaid workers in 3rd world countries. It's a scam!

Honestly cant call yourself an inclusive brand if the only people who can even own your products are people who are able to drop over 300-400 dollars for a few clothing items that arent even good looking. True inclusivity would be the range of sizes, and actually being affordable for the average person who cant spend that much money on a few outfits. 😭

I'm from the country right next to Turkey and let me tell you - In the Balkan region, Turkey is the equivalent of China to us. Clothing is extremely cheap even without the haggling. People go on 2 day trips just to buy stuff there. So if anyone ever sees something sold by a celebrity that says Made in Turkey - it was made in a sweatshop and the workers are probably paid less than 1 dollar an hour... for something that will be sold for 400. Turkey is Europe's version of China/Malaysia/Philippines etc

Well, when it comes to price big companies do cheap labor in foreign countries then raise the price to make money for themselves; while small businesses will charge roughly similar prices for their desired wage and hard work. While the other differences the consumer actually cares about are relevance, dependability and accessibility. Someone will want items from names they know and assume are dependable and they will want something that is quick to find and quick to receive. Why would you go out searching for a small businesses to pay 55$ to for hand painted jeans when you can pay 55$ for the same jeans (but prolly printed) from a brand that you already know of and is assume is dependable because it’s trendy?

To give more info, khloe and her team had actually been in communications with the brand good American copied, and asked for custom samples of her items and stopped communicating with her after she sent the items. Then a couple months later they come out with their own version of the exact same items. Khloe’s team and the OG brand came to a settlement, so I think it’s safe to say copying was involved here

Fun fact, you can not avoid the "gap" for everyone. I just informed my self about sewing your own jeans. And the gap thing is pretty good explained there. Clothes in the store are made to fit as much people as possible - you can have the exact same measurements, but a complete different body type ( for example a bigger booty but smaller hips can have the same measurement as bigger hips and flater booty). Thats what creats stuff like the gap in the back ( at least from what i learned)

Which is why, if you're lucky enough to afford it or skilled enough to do it yourself, you should always tailor store-bought clothes. They are not designed to look good on you. They are designed to fit as many people as possible in a world where everyone has a WILDLY different body type from everyone else. I always run into problems with jeans because my waist is normally two sizes smaller than my hips (basically ALL my weight sits in my hips. If I wasn't overweight like I am right now, I'd be very pear shaped) but then I'm also short. Basically ALL pants designed for hips like mine are also designed for people much taller than me, or with a larger waist. That's what made me finally break and start wearing yoga pants all the time - they just fit better, and they're easier to hem when they're too long.

That’s so shady she’s outsourcing now. She didn’t even ask people if they were willing to pay more for a product made in the USA. She just saw her profit margin being eaten into and said it was for the customer and that’s shit. I opened my business in 2017 and after researching a LOT of products I decided to source everything here and I proudly tell everyone I carry only products made in the USA. When prices go up, I share it with the customer. If I pay $5 more then I raise my prices $3 and the $2 comes from my profit margin, which is completely unseen, and my customers are all fine paying it. She should have given that option and taken a tiny hit in her profits. That she doesn’t even need.

340€ for Made in China clothing is CRAZY and absolutely ridiculous to me. Especially when I think of the Uyghurs in China and the most likely forced labour that went into making these pieces while promoting it with made in California 🤢 Kardashians and many celebrity brands are something else ..

She could have moved the factory from high cost Los Angeles to anywhere in the middle of the country to lower the costs, rather than overseas. They would still be American made. I buy most of my t-shirts and sweats from American Giant. I believe (but I'm not positive) that their production is in or around Kentucky. The prices aren't outrageous and the pieces are well made.

Just found your channel and I'm an American. I love your outside opinion because a lot of us feel their stuff is shit and they're famous for not being talented.....like...at all. I'm not trying to be mean but they haven't done anything interesting or beneficial. Also, kind of insulting they sell "tresh" under the brand/name "good american". Ps, I love hearing little things about Germany. Whether its a phrase or a food....I love hearing about it or seeing it. ❤

I have to say- I'm not an enormous Kardashian fan, but I do have 2 pairs of Good American jeans, & I do really think they're high-quality. Its difficult to find high-quality jeans in such a wide range of sizes & styles, too. The retail prices are very high, but I feel like it's a strategy to constantly have sales, to make the consumer feel like they're getting a deal. Because at least in the U.S., Good American jeans are ALWAYS on sale.

The "constantly on sale" thing is actually illegal in the USA. You can drop a "fictitious pricing lawsuit" on the company. It happens pretty often in california. The companies usually settle so you don't really hear much about it (which is the point). Fake sales are just a way to make the customer think the product is worth more than it actually is and to purchase it quickly thinking they are getting a good deal, when in reality they are being psychologically manipulated and swindled.
