very true, most influencers arnt brave enough to say they dont like celebrity makeup products becuase fans can be harsh on them so I applaud the sincerity attempt at least

1:09:57 just a little something i found worth mentioning!! i’m latino and have heard many people not wanting to use “latinx” because that sound doesn’t really exist in most our languages. as it was created by americans/english speaking people to refer to us, it upsets some latino people cause it kinda goes back to colonization. and also we use “e” or “o” as a gender neutral way to refer to things (at least on my language) so it isn’t really necessary!

yeah! as someone who is portuguese (which is a latin language), the "x" sound is completely different from the sound it makes in english so it becomes complicated to use :/ we also tend to use "e" instead, depending on the context/word :)! i was looking for this comment

@@MSchachel sadly that's the tricky part, i personally replace the x for an e at the end, so it'd be latine (the same for other gendered words) but when im typing i prefer using the x (personal preference)

the about face packagings are a reminder of painting/drawing tools and products, because Halsey is a painter and wanted people to do their makeup in a fun, creative way, like when you do a painting! I think it’s so fun and they really nailed it

54:10 i don't know if someone has mentioned this already, but the reason you might not have felt this 'closeness' between harry styles and pleasing is that he is just the creative director (i think it is) of the brand. he doesn't own it or make the products himself, but he is used very much for the campaign and promotion of it.

I knew you would like Halsey's brand. She is an actual makeup artist and she does INCREDIBLE and FUN makeup looks unlike most celebrities that go for the basics (nothing wrong with basics but it gets boring with time). Most reviews I found on her brand said the brand was shitty because people didn't understand how to use the liquid eyeshadows, but I get those are not begginer friendly lol you did it justice. I loved your final look. About face is actually the only celebrity brand that interests me !!

(Here is what I think of it lol sorry it’s so long) The funny thing is, I JUST got Halsey’s makeup brand. Like, today. I got the about_face brand bc Ik she has two brands. The product I bought was the matte fluid eye paint in the shade ‘freaked’ which is a sort of pale dusty lilac color. It was AMAZING, you apply and then can blend out and it dries very nicely. It is actually so waterproof it was a bit hard to scrub off. I bought it for 16$ overall worth it (I will maybe make a KZread video on it actually so it you want a more in depth review u can watch that lol) also the eye paints are very beginner friendly ppl don’t know what they’re talking about.

@@marilyn2650 honestly i heard many good but also many bad reviews from different people. so i bought an eyeliner, eyeshadow palette and the lipgloss. i really like the palette, it’s not too pigmented but also not like a childs eyeshadow palette, if you know what i mean. the lipgloss is great (obviously) but I personally also don’t really like the eyeliner. I can’t even explain what bothers me about it, but I don’t use it anymore and gifted it my friend. My friend really likes it tho. So I think It’s just an opinion thing🤷🏼‍♀️

Well for a couple years aris eyeliner was a MESS so it’s fitting her product is a hit or miss too

I’ve also had the same problem with the Rare beauty foundation. A way I made it work was put on moisturizer under the foundation and put a light amount. I absolutely love the concealer though, one of my favorites! Rare beauty has some of my absolute favorite products, like the liquid blushes and highlighter

I used to have a BoxyCharm subscription and so I have a box completely full of those products and I never use them. I actually received the ITEM mascara so when I saw your reaction I was like, wait...... So I went looking for it and decided to go out of my comfort zone and do a very bold non-traditional makeup look and I am so proud of myself. All I did was watch your videos and now I think my old look is so boring. Thanks for relighting my passion in makeup!

This video really helped me cause my girlfriend has been getting into makeup lately and she doesn't know which brands to buy makeup from so I thought I would surprise her by taking her to makeup stores and letting her pick out a few products from some brands from this video!

I’m so sad you didn’t try Trixie Cosmetics. They are one of my absolute favorite makeup brands. Trixie is a drag queen so it’s a no brainer that her makeup would be high quality. Also the packaging is so cute.

I have an about face product and didn't even know it was Halsey's brand! Got the liquid red eyeshadow in hopes of finally having a red eyeliner that does everything: stays put, is vibrant and not absolute hell to apply. Been good so far! Really love that I can smudge it out a little which I usually have to do with eyeshadow

I can proudly say I watched all the three videos “trying celebrities, influencer products…” and it’s so relaxing seeing how you do your make up It makes me want to start doing make up myself

Honestly, I didn't know any of those, but Halsey's one is really cool. It's not only vegan and cruelty free, but I feel like I, a make up beginner, can really live out my kreativity and try out many things with it. Thank you also for that, it's really cool to learn a lot from an expert while watching this eating crisps.
