If you wanna store it without using wrappers and in balls, I'd suggest decreasing the water content and rolling it in sugar. It should do good for a few days given low temperature.

You need to unwrap a toffee and show us the consistency after an hour or two. And should say how many days we can preserve it. Anyhow the preparation was good.
