    @@ryantiarno4294 because majority of the fighters came from tough backgrounds lmaooo. I don't need to grow up there to know. That being said, when a fighter like Conor for instance came in and dominated, guess what he now lacked after making millions? Religion/tradition, dedication and commitment is the correct answer. These guys don't care about wealth, sure it helps but they 100% patriotic and just wants to dominate and can do exactly that because of how hard they work.

    That's true, because the regions like west turkey Georgia Dagestan etc are rocky places where besides working the only entertainment is messing with youre friends. That's why my father used to motivate me to wrestle at very young age with my brothers himself or guests. It's in our environment/tradition really common.

    As a Pashtun Afghan, we have the same culture. I use to wrestle my cousins generally, and sometimes received gifts either money or something else if we did very good. If you lose you get a beating from your dad. I have never lost to any of my cousins, as I was good. But to this day I still remember regret winning this one time when my uncle beat his son with a chain he took off his dog’s collar.😂

    Yeah I think he meant “genetic” as something else, not actual genetic hereditary strength. What I think he meant was in the terms of passing it down from on generation to the next, as he said it is tradition to wrestle there. This is not only in Dagestan, but it’s found in a lot of places. Like the person above me mentioned, it’s also common in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia etc the list goes on.

    It is same in Brazil for football. Everybody plays it anywhere: on the streets, on the beach. They learn how to run and control the ball barefoot on the sand which is really hard. And Brazilians are good fighters as well.

    The way he said it made me think that if any of them have a disagreement they just wrestle it out instead of beating the shit out of each other or something. When I was a little kid, I used to go to my mom's village to see my Uncle and my cousin's they would make me wrestle with the twins because I was one year older than them so they both had to wrestle me at the same time I had to take them both on at the same time, that's just the way it is.
