Cooked these for dinner tonight with buffalo chicken sandwiches. They were delicious and easy to make. The crunch is EVERYTHING. I will think twice about buying the frozen ones again.

Instead of flour twice i start with cornstarch then egg then flour. I just made zucchini strips today like that. My favorite ketchup was Heinz for years but it has high fructose corn syrup which is really bad for people so i had to switch. I buy one sweetened with honey. My kids love these potatoes. But i perfer to use an air fryer instead of hot oil. Have a great week!!

Those look awesome. I think I'd put a little cayenne powder in the wet and dry mixture, just to add a tiny kick to it. As for Ketchup (or Catsup for some people) I'm good with any avaliable, usually the cheapest due to finances and the economy currently.

Man, you have been such a inspiration.

The Cold Water Bath also removes some of the Starch, This needs to be done 2 or 3 times with a good rinse in between each soaking then lay the potatoes out on a cookie sheet and use paper towels to pat dry them before frying. You will get a crispier potato wedge or fries .

I make these all the time, but I boil them first and then deep-fry them.... Love your channel

Heinz is the best! Utah born and bred so fry sauce is my go to. Ketchup, Mayo, pickle juice, s&p.

Thanks, AB! Our 2 most local KFCs no longer sell these delicious potato wedges. Also, lived in Pittsburgh in my 20s, so Heinz.

When I use to eat KFC in the 90's, I dipped the wedges into a huge container of their mashed potatoes and gravy. They don't even sell the large portions anymore, that why I had to stop going.

Utah fry sauce style baby! Couple tbls of ketchup & mayo(no miracle whip). 1tsp of mustard 1tsp of paprika 1sp of pickle juice or dill relish if you want more of a tart/sour fry sauce Or you can do a tbls or 2 of sweat relish if you want like a burgar fry sauce. Also others like to add onions but that's not my thing and also ppl put vinegar in it

When i make them i use salt pepper onion powder garlic powder chili powder and i add a shot of the heizns w sauce lol to the wet after cook i sprinkle a little sea salt on and yea i love the heinze cat up too lol thanks for sharing 👍

I only have one Critique on the wedges. I use to Cook for KFC. And there's is absolutely no egg or milk involved. In order for that to be true Copy Cat, you need to use WATER. That's what KFC uses for the liquid. Even for the Chicken But other than that. I just also wanted to say I love your Potato Salad recipe. I use Creole Seasoning Everytime I make it. KFC chicken uses water to add to dipping mix which has dried milk in it (for original recipe) For extra crispy their dipping mix had dried whey in it (which is what is left over after you take cream out of milk - like super skim milk).

My favorite ketchup is Melinda's Habanero Ketchup. It's got real cane sugar in it and not high fructose corn syrup. They also make Ghost Chile, Chipotle, Jalapeno and Black Pepper varieties. I haven't tried those yet. Adreas Viestad, the host of 'New Scandinavian Cooking' made a really good looking homemade ketchup on one of his episodes years ago.

Boy, these look good! I'd add a little Tony's Chachere's Creole seasoning to mine. My favorite ketchup is Heinz Simply ketchup, mainly because it doesn't have high fructose corn syrup in it.

Break out the Heinz ketchup ranch dressing and hot sauce for dippin you gotta put some garlic in there eat it with some (on the vine) tomato wedges and pimento olives and drizzle extra virgin olive oil let the siesta begin! ♥U AB

I like Heinz. Hunts has more of an allspice/clove kinda taste to it vs Heinz. No other things I can think of besides maybe microwaving the potatoes after slicing and before frying. I think it’d be better if you can cool them back down before breading and frying. Like blanching to make it super fluffy inside with a nice crispy outside. I do that with my skillet potatoes anyway. Mostly to help speed cooking up I guess
