Keynote: It's About Meaning Not Money, Says Guy Kawasaki

TIA 2014's VIP Dinner was all about "aha moments" as Guy Kawasaki, chief evangelist at Canva and former evangelist at Apple, takes a page from Greg Manganello of Fujitsu's speech. Kawasaki gives the TIA 2014 audience his Top 10 list for success in innovation with the message that "the genesis of great companies are companies who want to make the world a better place."

Guy Kawasaki is awesome. I've seen many of his speeches on youtube and this is the only speech I've seen where he tells that final story.

6:16 Innovation is usually motivated by the desire to make meaning-that is, to change the world (missionaries). The companies that start off primarily to make money usually fail. They attract the wrong kind of people (mercenaries). The genesis of great companies are the ones who want to make the world a better place.
