I get the feeling that they didn’t exactly know what they were doing, what they were going for or how to wrap up this sketch. But it turned out to be comedy gold! Gets funnier every time I see it and I find myself saying “con-se-quences” often 😂

Nah. They were just acting. The audience was suppose to giggle at him because everyone thought he was a joke. In fact, everyone left the auditorium still thinking he was a joke. No one saw the wrecking ball. Also, they probably filmed the student reaction shots separately. Much cheaper than trying to get everything in one shot, also faster.

Would have been funny if the kids actually agreed/nod/cry during his randomness and all stood up to clap/cheer at the end while the principal scratches his head wondering how that actually got through to them.
