I will in this case. That PPV wasn’t being sold on that one Bret vs Shawn match. To complete the story between Taker and Diesel, Diesel had to hit the jackknife before Taker pulled him under. It would have added more to their match than it would have subtracted from Bret vs Shawn. Because in the end, Taker STILL pulled Diesel under. They literallly did everything else in the finish except the jackknife.

@@shadycnetwork if it’s part of the game then why did Brett cry when Hogan did that to Brett? I know Hogan felt protecting his spot was a shoot but if Brett lives by the same logic, why hold a grudge? Either you are a team player and willing to do as you’re told or you are gonna be difficult when things don’t suit yo. You can’t play both sides and that’s what Brett does. I understand his beef with Shawn, it was personal but not losing in Canada and refusing to take Nash’s finisher despite not doing the job is abusing your spot. Dude was just finally protecting himself a lil' bit. Go ask Glenn Jacobs what happens when you're overly selfless & do, "what's best for business," all the time. You go from a dominant, well protected main eventer to a midcard jobber. Someone like Glenn Jacobs might be okay with that, but that doesn't mean Bret Hart had to be. He was within his right to put his foot down every now n' then for the sake of protecting himself. Undertaker himself stated you needed to have, "a little bit of asshole in you to survive the business." Nothing wrong with respecting the business and the character that they play. Nash was a zero and had no wrestling skills. It made no sense for Bret to be out wrestled so much that Nash could power bomb him. And Nash ran off anyway so why build him up for nothing.

It's just as well. Brett would have made it the most boring powerbomb in history.
