I will in this case. That PPV wasn’t being sold on that one Bret vs Shawn match. To complete the story between Taker and Diesel, Diesel had to hit the jackknife before Taker pulled him under. “Hed never check me tho” - nash
Bret Hart was the champion at the time. So, in actuality, it was all about Bret Hart. Nash is talking shit lol.
The fact Bret had to get that said to him puts Undertaker on a whole different level then the best there was blah blah blah
Bret made a entire documentary crying about him not being in the spotlight goes to show what kind of person he is
When we were these old interviews from
Bret EARNED that right in regards to creative control in his contract it may or may not be fd up but hey when you pay the cost you can be the boss.

This is why I don't stand by Bret and never have. The stuff with Goldberg was overexaggerated, the stuff with Shawn was due to his ego, and the fact he kept WWF and WCW on hostage over being champion due to him thinking they owed him, no one owed him anything

I always thought the Goldberg situation was unfortunate but overblown, considering the history of the business. I think Bret thought he was the first guy to ever accidentally get hurt in the ring.

@MKD58 Media Bret just wanted another reason to complain and be a victim. That's all his career is based off of. He victimized himself over Wrestlemania, over losing the title in general, over helping others go over, over his brother's death, over the company telling him no, all of that. He wanted what he wanted and if anyone told him no and fought back he would make an ass out of himself to embarrass the company. But the fact he also made himself a victim after Owen's death is kind of messed up. It wasn't just his brother died and he was devastated, he straight up made his brother's death into a shoot

Owens wife didn’t want Owen in the WWE hall of fame because they didn’t help her for shite and Bret holds a grudge against his sister in law for this. It’s complete nonsense and it goes to show just how much he never loves his own brother. It’s a sham.

She didn't want her husband in the hall of fame because they're 100% responsible for the negligent death of her husband Vince should've listened to the first stunt rigger who told him the clasps Vince wanted to use were 100% unsafe as they weren't even designed for stunt rigging but for sailboats But Vince wanted his way and got rid of that stunt rigger and replaced him with another unscrupulous stunt rigger who went along with Vince and those clamps failed and Owen fell to his death as result You have no idea about Brett and Owen's relationship whatsoever

@@sirnoname6943 It's about the context. He wasn't losing here. He was actually getting the win. However this was just a few weeks after Bret fought Undertaker at the Royal Rumble and took the Tombstone before Diesel interfered and a few weeks before he was about to drop the belt to Shawn at Mania. Even when he won the belt from Diesel in the first place he was immediately laid out. So really Bret was being made to look like a weak champ. That's five PPVs from Survivor Series where he won it to WrestleMania where he dropped it and three of those ended with either Bret on his back or someone saving him from getting beat. This would have made four of five PPVs. I don't blame him one bit for putting his foot down at some point. Bulldog at In Your House was the only one to put Bret over clean that entire title run.

@@ceasarsanchez9086 But if Hogan or Shawn made the same argument in the same situation, Bret would have been the first to call them out on it. Whether he's Right or Wrong is down to opinion, but it doesn't change the fact that he's a shameless hypocrite.

It's pretend, and they all got rich over it. I think you've been duped by a heard of goats.
Bret always knocks on others who don't "meet his standards" in the ring, sometimes he's right but most of the time, his super-ego overshadows everything he's trying to say or do.
I used to IDOLIZE BRET … I was just like him… Then I realized HE N MYSELF were SELF RIGHTEOUS, JUDGEMENTAL , NARCISSISTIC, PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, MARKS FOR OURSELVES 😫… still Respect The work n love the man though ❤️
Yeah sure that happened 😂
It is funny when you hear more about how people like Bret Hart was and even hulk Hogan is just as bad for they took the business way too seriously it's meant to be a show and entertaining for them championship belts were real. And they took that kayfabe shit way too seriously I get it to an extent because that's the way a lot of old school guys were.
