Kettlebell is a fantastic fat burning muscle building tool/exercise to have in your arsenal. For me personally, kettlebell training is literally a one stop shop for all your training needs if you are someone who doesn’t have time or access to gym equipment. You don’t need to much room either and the tube is full of posts with exercises to choose from. You really can’t go wrong as long as you perform the movements correctly.

I love the KB and have been using it so much more in recent months. I, too have noticed a difference when I am doing other stuff. I wouldn't be without it now. I have my own adjustable one at home but in the gym I have more choices of course. I like this half marathon. I never knew that such a competition existed. Great video Mark. Us oldies have still got it (I'm 61).

Great stuff! I competed in KB Comps in my early 50s but unfortunately my KB Club closed when the owner moved away. We would do 10 minute rounds, with one or two hands, snatches (half snatches if two KBs), clean and jerks, and jerks. We were allowed to switch hands as often as we wanted and could even put the KB down. I think my best was 115 reps 24 KG one hand snatch and 66 32 KG one hand clean and jerk. It was a lot of fun but boy as taxing an athletic event as I have ever done! Even with proper conditioning, chalk and makeshift tape, it was very difficult to keep the palms and calluses from ripping. I still use KBs as part of my regularly routine even though I don't compete, at least currently. Good luck!

You are so talking my language 😊. I can tell you were serious when you mention hand care and how tough that can be. A brilliant, but massively underrated and participated in sport. Keep up the great KB work

Hey mark. Been following your channel for a while mate. Very inspirational! Just to piggyback off another comment, I’m 50 this year. Been working out since age 15. Weights and martial art stuff. Steroid use in 20s. Suffered depression in early 30s for a year, took antidepressants for a year but left me with anxiety issues which I still medicate with which I hate! I still train regularly weights and bjj which helps. Do you think I should get my test levels checked? I’ve read that low test can affect your mental state? Sorry for the long question buddy.

Thanks and to answer your question It never does any harm and will def set your mind at ease. Check out what the normal levels of T are before you get the test results so you can compare independently

@@rjbtenglish to answer your question yes I’ve got back to my previous level of performance and gone way past it on several fronts. It’s totally possible if you follow the right rehab protocols. I even created a vlog series detailing my recovery. Check out the following link which is the starting video of the series. The others ones are in the description of that one. Hope that helps. kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6ibzaOeacffk9o.html

Hi Sam, I don't find your question disrespectful at all. Part of my job is to help people not take offensive at other peoples comments or views. To answer your question I've looked into the subject, because should the need arise for me to consider HRT, I want to be well informed. I don't see why it should be contentious as most people now except that women can take HRT to help them cope with the debilitating effects of the menopause. And although there is no general acceptance that men experience a menopause the reality is for about 30% of males their T levels dramatically drop in their 40's, 50's + to levels and this affects not only their physicality, but their mental health severely. So IMO it should, as long it is medically supervised by qualified NHS doctors (UK), be available to men, but only to allow normal levels of T to be achieved again. I'm not in favour of excessive steroid use for enhancement purposes. That is dangerous and brings all sorts of issues.
