Let me take you for a walk from Keswick town centre to the lake and back to Keswick town centre.
Keswick is a beautiful old town on the shore of Derwentwater in the Lake District UK, in the county of Cumbria. This is most definitely one of the must see towns when you visit the Lakes.
In this stroll, I will be taking you through the parks that lead you between the town of Keswick to the shoreline of Derwentwater, followed by a walk through Keswick town centre where there is a pretty good market along the main street for you to buy your holiday trinkets.
Derwentwater is where the book (and film) "Swallows and Amazons" was written by Arthur Ransom.
Actually, I am wrong saying "town centre to the lake". This is Derwentwater which is a "water" rather than a lake. Who'd have thought there was a difference.. go figure 'eh.
