The D2 on my Civivi is razor sharp. It’s easy to sharpen. I like the new Kershaw.

I would like to see the industry move from D2 to 14C28N in general. There's few times, in my opinion, a knife is better served with D2, unless it's CPM-D2 but that's barely the same thing. Variety is good, so is competition. But seeing everything from 5cr, to S35VN in the $50 area is insane.

Hey Kevin. Do you think this axis lock fails in a self defense situation? If you hit the bottom of the knife on a hard surface it disengages the lock. Just wanted to get your opinion. I actually love this knife.

Go ahead. Choke up on that handle a little more. That Grip is going to gain a whole lot more traction once you put your finger into the heel of that blade.

As a collector I wanted one of each brands first knock off axis lock ... This one sold before I got in hand . Looking forward to it. I wonder if they will keep them all USA because it's a way better value then the cheapest Grigory bms

Blade HQ already has like 4 sku's so I will wait till the m390 or other high end steel version then get one. That is if I can figure a work around or CBSA backs off a bit

I didn't like it and returned the knife back to the seller. It is too small for my hand. I own Cold Steel Code 4 and I really like it, but Kershaw Irridium is too small, almost unusable for me

That M4 steel on that benchmade Freek will rust just as easy as D2 steel. And the Freek is what, like 4× more expensive than the iridium. What a joke.

@@Kevinclearysharpstuff M4 is extremely similar to D2. M4 and d2 are both prone to rusting. M4 may hold its edge a bit longer, but I don't get how that makes M4 4x more expensive than d2. The jokes on people who believe M4 is worth 4x the price of what d2 is.

I love the aesthetic and action but the ergonomics is meh 🫤. The covalent have a better lock bar action although it the blade started striking the center spacer on mine after a good amount of use and a bunch of fidgeting.
