In Colombia we use pink sauce for EVERYTHING! We like it so much that they even sell it prepackaged at the grocery store. Don't know what I like most, this recipe or your sweater!
Kerryann's one of my faves, I like how warm and mom like she is. So fun to watch :)

We have this for Christmas dinner every year. I add a tiny shake of chilli sauce and Worcester sauce. Nothing beats this for a starter. Kerry Ann. I'm making your rice and peas for Christmas too. The best recipe I have ever found. Your chilli is phenomenal too.Merry Christmas 🎅 xx
I think this is the only recipe I have seen on youtube that I immediatley thought I was definitely going to do soon. And I follow a few food channels religiously. I'm so excited to make and eat this, thank you so much! :)
In the USA the ketchup and Mayo is the base for “Fry sauce.” Some leave it just like that and others add more spices. Add sweet pickle relish and you’ve got thousand island dressing. I’ve actually made this “pink sauce” to eat “English style” shrimp cocktails at home and it’s great! Yum!
Even though I'm not christian i got to admit, i love the festive feel to christmas because the best month is saved till last. Merry Christmas guys, enjoy it.

@@malteeaser101 the clue is in the name, it's a Christian festival. Atheists can join in, but that doesn't detract from the fact it is fundamentally a Christian celebration.

Yup! We're doing something similar for our starter this year... we used to always do hot smoked salmon, with a horseradish sauce... until I developed an unfortunate salmon allergy!!

Christmas was - and is- homemade waffles with fruit sauce and cream. And the snack was very simply- cured salmon, bagel slices and cream cheese ( I grew up in NYC!)

I use almost exactly the same recipe already! The only difference is that I also put a whack of either horseradish or smoked chile into mine depending on what the other appies are. :)

When I saw the comment section I thought this girl did something horrible or something. But then I realize, people here comments on what they see, they don't try shit before they comment. This is pretty much how cocktails are made, she didn't grind the prawns or so, she just mixed in the sauces, why is it bad? Dumb people.

Exactly my thoughts. They have obviously never had or seen a prawn cocktail. One person commented something negative, and all the dumb people are convinced and believes the same. I can't stand ignorance.
We do shrimp cocktail as well - traditional cocktail sauce here - ketchup and horseradish with a squidge of lemon. Yummy!

That sauce you just made, we know it as fry sauce. But not everywhere in the US knows what that is :)

Love the recipe! I've had some prawn cocktails which my aunt made, but they were way too simple, too much sauce and I think not really freshly made. My question is, what about celery? I can imagine celery being a nice addition to the cocktail! (:

In Belgium this sauce is called plain and simple "cocktail sauce". We also add a little bit whiskey into the sauce.

Poor poms. I suppose those tiny little pink things are prawns! Hahaha. Nice living on my island. I've never seen a prawn that little.
I add a tiny drop of brandy or vodka and a little dash of chili sauce and Worcester sauce.

When I make pink sauce for prawn cocktails, I just mix red caviar with creme fraiche! It's really good,. (:
in our house we have to make all of them individually because everyone likes it a specific way. i like mine with extra lemon and tomato, mum is no lemon, dad is avocado, no tomato hahaha

That sauce is basically what we call Fry Sauce here in the states (Well the West... ish)
Some people add double cream to it. I think this makes it more tasty and obviously more creamier.

Exactly what we have! Exactly how we make it! Glad it's not been tampered with! 😉
How to make the sauce better: remove about half of the mayonnaise and replace it by plain yoghurt . add a bit of Worcestershire sauce and a few drops of tabasco. Also, don't add as much lemon juice , and voilà, your sauce is now lighter, and better
