A truck with a longer wheelbase and multiple tag axles wouldn't stand a chance on this job. Previously mentioned comments by Antonio Z. and Michael R. Williams are correct, definitely issues with the PTO pump. Sweet ass drop visor my man, definitely have to get me one of those.

Tell me how you did that. Did you just put in in reverse and ride the brakes over or do you have a lower gear with engine brake?

I placed it in reverse low and had the engine brakes on. The engine did all the work, I used the brakes when needed.

Antonio , wouldn't say it's the pump - when the pressure came off the pump the winding sound went away!! the cable only engages

There is no cables on a pto. The pto engages and drives drives the pump. Sounds like his pump is cavitating from air on the suction or his pump is going out.
