And to this day, Sam is still stuck in the T3 restraints 😂 yup, it used to be a Six Flags park from 1998 to 2010 when amid a bankruptcy, Six Flags ceased operations of the park immediately on February 4, 2010 after the rejected their lease with the Kentucky State Fair Board. Ed Hart hoped to have it reopen that year by Memorial Day, but negotiations initially failed and it wasn't until January 2013 that the state fair board approved the lease, and the park reopened in 2014. Holiday World in Indiana was even interested in operating it!

As a Ky girl, I am glad to know that Kentucky Kingdom has been purchased and may get some attention! I think it has a lot of potential but, in my opinion, from day one there has just always been something missing! You and Sam are so much fun! You live in Orlando where they have some of the most awesome theme parks in the world but you still enjoy all of the little things in smaller parks and fun touristy things! I think you all just have fun whatever you do and it’s so much fun to watch! 💕💕

I go There every Once a Year and its fun there the food is great I lived in Kentucky my whole life And the best rollercoaster and Rides and movies and stuff Its a great Place!

Jackie if you get back near Chattanooga again you guys should check out LAKE WINNEPESAUKAH. It's not very far from Chattanooga in Rossville Georgia.. It's a classic amusement park opened in 1925.

That was super cool. I've never even heard of that park before. Kay and I liked it being sort of small with less crowds. (Except water park) Can't wait to see more!!!

The antique cars (moon cars) at Six Flags St. Louis are from the the St. Louis World's Fair!

This place is yet another interesting stop! I love seeing new areas to eventually explore

We were just here a few days ago. We got a great deal on Groupon. We did the water park on the first day (Friday) and it was not very crowded. We went back on Saturday to do the coasters only. The water park was SO crowded. We all had a great time though. Super friendly park and kind staff.

Glad to see you visit our local park here in Kentucky. I have experienced the ups and downs of this park since it opened in 1987. Our family enjoys the water park but I’m in hopes that their are plans to add more rides in the future. I wish I would have known you would have been there. My family would have loved to meet you both. Love your videos and safe travels.

Mega summer road trip! I'm loving it!

I was there for my first time as well, I saw you filming by StormChaser and the front gift shop, haha. Being able to Marathon StormChaser with no line was crazy. T3 was running later in the day, around 6, and easily had the longest line in the park, you didn't miss much by not riding it. The ride op on Thunder Run was one of the best of our entire trip too, dude was hilarious.

I love watching you both.I seen videos of the island in pigeon forge and dollywood I was just at Kentucky Kingdom a week ago and T3 was down that day 2

Yes! The one thing they need is a dark ride. I agree. I've been saying this for years. I think the waterpark side was the expansion so park entrance is the old side

My backyard theme Park! A fun park, a cheaper park!!

I grew up in Louisville as a teen. Kentucky Kingdom was the first place I ever rode a rollercoaster, Thunder Run. Also remember when they opened Hurricane Bay. So many great summer memories with friends as a teen.

This is my home park. There’s only one roller coaster (Lightning Run) in the front half of the park, so the line for that gets long compared to the other coasters.

Green Lantern in New Jersey used to be at this park, but it was known as “Chang”. It was so awesome! I hate that they sold it off.

Since you like dark rides Kennywood near Pittsburgh(the park of our childhoods) has two if you get to make it there. It also has a dark indoor Wild mouse coaster called Exterminator.

We visited Kentucky a few years ago and did as much we could. We did Churchhill Downs, Louisville Slugger, Jim Beam Distillery, Corvette factory, Toyota factory and The Arc

So fun that they had a dog show featured there for a bit! It reminds me of when I saw a dog show at my home park, Canobie Lake Park. After their show, you could go up and meet the dogs and pet them, and that was my favorite part 💜 Canobie also has antique cars, and we have an old picture of me as a little kid on one of them.

Looks like fun, I would like to pair it with a day at Holiday world. I also like to buy magnets from every park we visit. Looking forward to the next video!

Regarding the 1987/1989 thing on the shirts - the parks first opened in ‘87 but went bankrupt and didn’t open in 1988. It then reopened in 1989.

Kentucky Kingdom is a fun little park. They really try to give the best experience with what they have and a good way to spend day. And its not terribly expensive either. . Pleas promise me to stop by a skyline chili and get a fiveway when you are in the Ohio area. I see you are making your way to KI and I am sure CP. Can't wait for you to visit some of my favorite parks.

I’m never this early to a video but yours are some of the best. I hope the weather in Kentucky was ok. Saw a lot of flooding around there. Be safe and have fun traveling. 👍👍

Honestly we are extremely lucky that this park is still around today. If it wasn't for Ed Hart this would have been bulldozed long ago to make way for something new for the Kentucky State Fair

This looks like a great amusement park and looks like it offers sweet rides for “kids”of all ages. Love that the waterpark is nearby so one can choose to do both. Those little car rides are always fun. I remember when we went to an Amusement Park was little and we went on one and our child was tall enough and old enough to drive. Glad that Sam was able to get out of the T3 ride. The dog show looked fun.

Such a neat little park.

I missed you by one day. I was at Kentucky Kingdom the day before you, at the start of my coaster road trip. I have always loved this park! It's well maintained, well taken care of, incredible rides! And they never seem to get long lines in the dry park. I got 40 rides on Storm Chaser over a 2-day span on a weekend.

I grew up in Louisville and the airport is right there , just on the other side of the highway . If you fly out of there , you can see the park and coasters from the airport windows 😊

I watched the video where you did make it Holiday World I thought that was awesome

I got to ride that vampire coaster and t3 and they were scary to me but fun. Enjoy your road trip!!

I loved t3. One of the first rollercoasters I ever rode so I’m attached to it for that and I love the feet dangling part. I’m willing to bet they will just add to the water park as it’s mostly water stuff over there. I really hope not. I want another coaster just like it. I will be very very upset as I’m not a water park user! You take amazing theme park videos. Best I’ve seen someone do so far.

"I've never had to cross the street inside of theme park before". LOL At Carowinds in the NC/SC stateline runs through the middle of the park, so you're crossing back and forth the state line all day

I have heard of this park, I thought they were going to close it but glad to see someone took it over and hopefully make it work and as always- great to see you and Sam on the road and exploring new areas - Great videos !

It actually closed down after the 2009 season and didn’t reopen until 2014.

Kentucky Kentucky was insane when Chang was still around, scariest ride ever.

Love the road trips, thank you! If you like old parks, you might want to check out Lake Winnepesaukah "Lake Winnie" in Rossville, GA. It's right outside of Chattanooga and might be a fun trip when passing by. They do haunted houses in October on the weekends and they have a wooden rollercoaster. Safe travels and look forward to the next video.

We go to Lake Winnie! It’s clean. And has lots of rides. The coaster is from 1929. Wooden.
