I’m headed to KK tomorrow (Labor Day) with my grandkids and I’m so glad I found your excellent review video. You 2 did an awesome job showing us the park. I live right in Louisville and pass by it everyday going to work, yet I haven’t been in 28 years!!! The irony of folks all the way from England educating me on Kentucky Kingdom. 😄 Love it! 👍

This trip is so cool

Ooohh !! Love anything Cinnamon. It's something i look for when going to USA. Note: at Universal Orlando, they sell Cinnamon Bites in cups. Also something i've done in the past....buy box of Cinnamon squares cereal and some sandwich clear bags, add them together and you have a pocket of treats to eat as you walk round or picnic.

Really happy to see you guys made it to Kentucky Kingdom, I was there in the Six Flags days and was disappointed about how they left it. I really love they saved the park and it's been fun seeing it grow and improve. Hopefully, even more, theming and a replacement for T3 in the near future.

I've such mixed feelings about Six Flags. The 1 time I visited this park it was being run into the ground by Six Flags. It looks so much better after the 5 year vacation. I'm glad they RMC'd one of the tiered coasters ... things are looking up being owed by Silver Dollar City and Dollywood, excellent change! 👍

The RMC is epic!

Shawn and Charlotte, RMC, seems to be the dominant builder, they are doing something right! The weather is OK, hot but no Tornados or bad thunderstorms, yet! Oops, I shouldn't have said that. I sound like Hagrid talking to Harry and almost mentioning the Philosophers Stone..... Don't worry ,no Voldemort! Cheers, Rik Spector

Very good review! Smaller parks have that kind of charm that big parks don't have. They often have a more charming quieter atmosphere. It strikes me that you are allowed to make a POV here, but larger parks of the same company you can't. Every episode that you are making is a highlight of the day. Thanks that you make it seem that we're with you there. But when it's a boring coaster like the CCI woodie, you remain to be honest. But to me, I would hate it if an SLC would be closed. I love those... but on the other hand, I also love Hero at Flamingoland. One of my favorites even in England.

It's great fun. They even have a great deal for out of state visitors. You can get 2 full days for 39.99 and that includes free drinks and free sunscreen. They also have a Larson drop tower which is absolutely awesome. Cyclos is one of my favorite flat rides as well. Very intense. The animal shows are very, very good too.

Great review! The water park looks awesome. Storm Chaser seems to be a fantastic RMC, despite being on the smaller side, & Lighting Run seems good, too. Their carousel is gorgeous! And you can't go wrong with cinnamon bread.

When I saw the Tidal Wave type ride I was wondering if you would go on it but then I remembered Charlotte’s reaction to Tidal Wave at Thorpe Park and I thought that you guys would probably not go on it. Can’t wait for King’s Island!

You do great job talking about the amusement park and rides. It makes you feel like u are there

I have been to Kentucky Kingdom quite a few times and when Storm Chaser is warmed up and running fast, that first airtime hill might be the strongest single moment of sustained ejector I have ever felt and I have been on 17 RMCs, El Toro etc. Lightning Run is about equal with Storm Chaser to me, I just love the layout and it is stunning when warmed up as well.

I've been there once: May 29, 1999, when Vampire got stuck for 4 hours and 26 people had to be taken off by cherry pickers. Same thing had just happened April 7th that year. I wasn't on it, had a feeling early that morning not to ride it.

Great vlog! I didn't really know that Kentucky Kingdom became a Six Flags theme park! But the rides at that park are really amazing!

Storm Chaser looked great fun. We desperately need something like that in the U.K. I always enjoy it when a park surprises you with what it has to offer. I’m definitely trying a cinnamon bun when I get to a Herschend park.

Nice to see Thunder Run is using PTC trains. And on that note the new comet trains for hershey look amazing.

Another great looking park with super attractions. Getting difficult to do a top 5 !? Might have to do a top 10 !!! Lol.

Thunder run straight section had a few hill at on point but they were causing to much stress on the track and Foundation so they were replaced with straight section to keep running this many years. Storm chaser was actually 2 dueling coasters at one time. Maybe someday they can be back Stella back someday.

This would be a great park for the combo STC and family boomerang that Vekoma offer, to replace T3.

I think they should replace T3 with the new standup style ride B&M put in seaworld orlando (Pipeline) as a Chang 2.0

Something i am noticing is that out there they have a lot more wooden coasters compared to the uk. Also theres seem to turn sideways which ours dont.

HRH The Duke and Duchess of X-Sector have arrived! Kentucky Kingdom has been my home park since 92' and this is our first Royal visit. Love you guy's; God save the King. Some History: Thunder Run - a hill after the 2nd turnaround was removed during the SF years leaving a long-straight section. I rode this opening day and it was wild, like RMC wild. 4-D Theater building used to have an indoor Jet Star named Starchaser. After an accident in the mid-90's it was relocated. Thanks again for visiting my baby, be safe you two. Do yourself a favor and try a bag of "Grippo's" chips (aka crisps) and a "Big Red" soda at any gas station.

I just went to Kentucky kingdom this past Monday...it was hot, and the coasters were literally launching me and my girlfriend out of our seats... Even the Kentucky flyers was throwing us out of our seats 😂😂😂😂..you want some airtime, go to this park.

At Dollywood, the cinnamon bread is warm.

Unusual Rapids ride, like you two say. Now days (partly due to what happenend at Drayton Manor) they are built with framing round the outside of the vehicle to prevent fall out. And like Charlotte said, no middle bar to hold onto !? Very unusual. I'm guessing under 16 year olds must be accompanied by a adult on that ride. Love them attractions..just must keep safe at all times.

Pokey Park! I immediately thought of RCT when you were showing the map with the road down the middle and then 5 minutes later you mentioned it haha

The Lighting Run comment cracked me up because you are an enthusiast! 🤣It is related to RMCs. It was engineered by Ride Centerline. Alan Schilke is involved with both companies, so yes it does give off RMC vibes and you noticed the similarities just by riding it. 🎢

37:10 ive seen that lego movie film at legoland windsor and its quite good. I remeber you mentioing it and watching it in the legoland windsor vlog back in 2016

I guess the roller skates on the Vekoma Junior were once standard or at least a popular option, since Plopsaland De Pannd in Belgium &, Julianatoren in The Netherlands have this exact model with skates as well.

You still see branding from Six Flags. The entrance, Penguins Blizzard River, the Cinema...

They should’ve themed Storm Chaser as a junkyard or scrapyard…. Because it looks like it lol

Remember going on one of those loops when they had one at Great Yarmouth 🤮🤮🤮 Half the people on the ride got off feeling sick, it was the worst experience I have ever had at an amusement park, even worse than riding Colossus at Thorpe Park and that takes some beating 😆

Glad that you had a good day at Kentucky Kingdom. We are hoping to go there on our trip in July. Last year we went but there was a storm in the area so the rides did not open. Ironic since they have so many storm themed rides. We got our money back at customer services so was okay in the end. Fi gers crossed my boys get to ride Storm Chaser🤞

actually would you believe another park had a major road going right through the middle of it. It was Astro world by the Astro dome stadium in houston. it changed ownership to Six Flags houston but then the whole complex gave up because of one hurricane. The Astro Dome was imploded leaving the Rotting park and the land underneath. Amazon bought the land underneath Houston's attempt at revitalizing the area which was a new theme park called astroland and a new Stadium for events. currently the entire land is a Amazon shipping center and on the other side is an amazon storage warehouse. it did however bring in a lot of jobs.

I think Chance Rides refers to Lightning Run as a Hyper GTX model. I was shocked how good it was on my first ride.

I am currently at Carowinds, my home park and I hear you all are here today. I would love to meet you. I am currently waiting inside the theater to see the 3 Brad Ross magic show.

These are a little long so I can't watch all of them, but I still intend to se your Holiday World vlog and I'm excited because I trust you're going to KI after this, which I've just been to. It's the best run Cedar Fair park w friendly staff, and coaster line up almost as good as Cedar Point with six of the best coasters going off into the woods. I Hope I get a chance to check out at least parts of this video; I'm sure it'll be great as always. Cheers!

Storm Chaser just shows that it always have to be a record breaker to be a great ride. When Maverick at Cedar Point opened people were disappointed, then it debuted. People quickly changed their minds and Maverick quickly became the most popular coaster at Cedar Point. A little trivia, Cedar Point was actually going to put a record breaking floorless coaster in that location before they went with Intanmin instead for Maverick. They obviously made the right decision.

I wasn't never there but planning on going this year do they have dining n drinks pass n fast pass what is the least non busy days

I hope they replaced T3 with a new gen Vekoma, coz T3 looks the part, so something of similar scale would be perfect in that location. Somehow they need to top Storm Chaser! Hope they choose well. Id always over the years, bad things about KK, but your video has changed my mind - it looks great to be honest. Glad it was saved. Glad it looks like its doing well too.
