Since this is a Kentucky show, why not move the UK banner to where the LSU banner is? Can't see the UK banner.

The real value in Robinson as the best player is that he also knows the offense. He can be like an extra coach during Summer workouts with his new teammates so they'll have the basics down before official practice even begins.

Personally I’m thinking Lanier is the better fit and allow Robinson to do whatever he needs to. Seems like Robinson has always been leaning a different direction. Use the last spot to bring in talent for next season.

Jamie Vinson should redshirt if he does join since there isn't minutes for him on the team this year which will also very much help him develop into a starting role for his Junior and Senior year

That Vinson kid has potential to be a really good player. Like lottery pick potential. Idk if UK gets him, he may be looking to play somewhere he is gonna get more minutes. Who knows though, if pope does get him he will be a bigger land than people think. He is an NBA prototypical Stretch big.

Yeah and Vinsion is on a visit my guess is Jaxson told pope he’s starting in the draft . I mean 2 scholarships 2 players on a visit today he’s not going to say I don’t want your commitment because he wants other guys they wouldn’t be on a visit if pope didn’t want them. My guess they throw everything at Chaz and if Wooga Poplar reports come out about visiting Kentucky that means he doesn’t feel good about Chaz and I want Chaz over anyone in the portal but if we get Wooga instead it’s a nice 3rd place prize

@@kingkritical2779 yeah that's obvious, but his skillset is exactly what the NBA looks for nowadays. He is obviously young and will be a freshman, but he definitely has a high ceiling.

I really hope you're right Lance. I'm worried that Lanier is going to end at Tennessee. I just think it's closer to home and the whole Dalton Knecht pitch from Rick Barnes is probably what Chaz is very interested in. I really think Jaxson should stay another year and would be THE GUY at Kentucky and will be televised a lot. But if Jaxson stays in the draft and Chaz does commit to Tennessee, I will be a little worried about next year. We have to pay one of them a lot of money too.

Knoxville is 179 miles from Nashville (Lanier's home), and Lexington is 217 miles, so they're basically equally close. But Barnes has indeed had Lanier's ear for longer. That part worries me.

If there is a 50/50 chance that Chaz goes to UT and there is a 50/50 chance that Robinson will stay in the draft (not even taking into consideration that he is exploring other college routes) and these two decisions are independent of one another I don’t see how you can be so confident that UK will at least get one of the two. Using this logic, there is at least a 25% chance that they will get neither, which is pretty high.

Agreed. The point is that the video makes it seem like it’s a lock that they’ll get one of two. 25% chance of getting neither seems high to portray it as a lock.

It could be that we end up with neither of them.

I don't think this is that unlikely really. Looks like Robinson stays in the draft and Chaz could very easily pick Tennessee. I think the team will be fine and another unexpected player or two will be available before the season starts, but I agree we might not get either.

I would pay a hair more for Robinson I'm big on him we.need chaz position a lot more but Robinson better talent does more with less

I thank we get Lanier in the end but I think he will visit Tennessee but I feel like pope want let this one get away with out offering him all he can to come to Ky.

I’m betting if we add two more cats like Robinson & Chaz we may lose a couple on the process. Just depends on who if it’s worth it

The only 0.5% chance way we get both is if Andrew Carr is fine backing up the 4 which is where Robinson would likely start at (assuming Chaz at 2 and Brea at 3) but it’s not gonna happen

Lanier is a better fit at BYU and so is Robinson. If you are objective, then all of you know that. Either of them would develop better for the NBA at BYU, with more playing time, better coaching, and overall just a better fit. If you don’t believe me, then take it directly from the mouth of Devin Booker. “ I wishthat I would’ve had a coach like Kevin Young when he was in college”, yeah that is right. He is saying that he didn’t have a coach like Kevin Young when he was at Kentucky and he wish that he did I think that’s pretty profound.

Pope wants a deep roster like we got and didn't want to burn everything on on guy. Thats why in my opinion Pope went after the guys he did. Koby Brea to me with Pope will be a star. But to me that's why. Cal got him but only had what 7 or 8 players.

It will be great to be competing for banners again after 15 miserable years

We have to wait until after Lanier visits UT. If Robinson pulls out of the draft it’s UK or KU, probably UK. I don’t see us getting both but if we did I think we lose Oweh. I think Lanier is the best fit.
