Lyrics:
Shes gonna cut my head off But i don’t care
I don’t care.
She’s gonna cut my head off But i don’t care.
They say you clean up nice, You look like a dead man
Like a dead man.
She said “you dress up nice” I feel like a dead man
A dead man//
Culture is so claustrophobic, Claws to prove it, hurts so good.
And the partys over I’m still on your couch, I’m Not lost..
And if there is a line
I know you won’t cross it Take your time
(take your time)
But i might die (die)
Shes gonna cut my head off But i don’t care
I don’t care.
She’s gonna cut my head off But i don’t care.
They say you clean up nice,
You look like a dead man Like a dead man.
They say “you dress up nice” I feel like a dead man
A dead man//
like a dead man//
How can i rest in peace if i’m bured by a highway? Paint on the keys
Is everybody still breathing?
Weight of my shadow
It gets more heavy And it scares me.
The cherubs are scared Yea x3
It’s when the hearts collide Yea x3
Speeding with no drive Yea x3
Just let the light expire Yea x3
You say
“You know that’s it’s fine” Yea x3
I say
“I know that it’s fine”
You said
“It’s only a fire”
I think it’s more than a fire...
Shes gonna cut my head off But i don’t care
I don’t care.
She’s gonna cut my head off But i don’t care.
They say you clean up nice, You look like a dead man
Like a dead man.

Punk never died. It might have evolved, branched out, grown differently from what it used to be, but the chore of it still exists. Check out "Trapdoor Solution" and "Smoke & Mirrors" from The Hives' (they're getting old by now, but yet they refuse to grow old) latest album, released a month or two ago, if you feel like it. That whole album has some old school punk in a nonsense-yet-melodic songs, combined with other more rock n' roll-sounding songs throughout the album, if you want a good listening.

FOR GOODNESS' SAKE
KZread just gave me a trip on a time machine back to the early 2000s indie scene, my long mullet, skinny jeans, cardigan, v neck, winkle pickers and trilby hat were all waiting for me when I arrived.

@@Gaijins lol brah, live ? It was the greatest time of my life! Every Thursday was indie night, new wave bands playing all evening with a bit of the smiths and joy division chucked in for good measure, then go home messed up and watch the mighty boosh. radio 1 was playing indie bands all day! Block party, foals, post war years, the Maccabees, arctic monkeys, the libertines, the killers, kaiser chiefs, editors, the futureheads, the fratellis! it was endless, the 2000s new wave scene was one of the best musical movements in modern times! although I may be being biased because I worked part time, went out into town like 3 nights a week for about 4 years straight and I was happy and young and didn’t have a care in the world.

The first time you hear this track, it's ingrained into your mind forever ❤ sang it for days after 😂
This song no matter how many times i listen, it takes me back to when reality didn't even exist and I was truly just living. Its the feelings that i get from listening to this that remind you how powerful music is. Pretty amazing when that lighting is captured.
