Kenny was MUCH older here than when he first sang it on vid.

Such a great friendship these two had. They had such genuine love for each other--this video shows how wonderful these two are together. "A moment to enjoy...not to compare.." TRUTH!

Kenny Rogers was also instrumental in helping The early Eagle Don Henley, and Mr.Bob Seger learned a lot of songwriting tips from Kenny when Bob was just starting.

This is a perfect example that brotherly love is colorblind.

Two of the most amazing artists together; showing so much respect for each other!! All I can say is Wow!They are truly timeless!! Love them both!! Listening to them never gets old 🥰

Their friendship is wholesome and makes me smile. As does Kenny teasing him about that super vibrato he has lol that's so unique

Both of these singing artists were some of God's Most Extraordinary He has ever created. They were both fantastic. The Smoothness of Lionel was so Super Naturally Incomparable and when the pausing in and out of Kenny was like the in-between emotional feeling that one has way deep down inside the heartbeat of love when it is truly real and cannot ever be denied with every breath of air that one can have. Gracias Amigo. Gracias They both are very emotional. It is the in-between pauses like a violin that is the spice of something that is great. God bless them both.

In an interview with Lionel he said that he had to start pitching songs like that to the Commodores because he would get frustrated that they would reject his songs after he had written the entire song. The Commodores were a funk bank and really didn’t like doing a lot of ballads. They eventually parted ways because Lionel was getting all the spotlight. The last song I remember the C’s having with major success was Night Shift…a soft pop song.
