Kenny Omega talks about what irks him in a match

If someone doesn´t understand what Throwring fluff means, in my opinoin it means, to much time in betwenn moves, or selling to much how tired some wrestler is, or bad selling.
This is from Kennys Twitch Stream
/ thecleanerscorner
Every Friday new episodes.
He is talking Wrestling and Gaming and he is playing Street Fighter online, where you can join him and play against him.

As a skateboarder, what you do & how you push between tricks is just as important as the tricks. This philosophy colors any performance I watch. Doing a bunch of high spots with clunky setups is very unappealing.

Wrestling is completely different, in competition skating is about getting all your tricks out before your time is up, wrestling is about pacing and saving your big stuff for big matches

@@petebagwell6666 most skating is not about competition, skaters only gain status by making compilations showing off their style and tricks and pacing the footage to have the last clips show off your best tricks, pretty similar to wrestling in terms of pacing.

What he's saying: Don't give 5 stars to matches where guys got lost, it's not 5 stars. If a match has 10 botches that pause the match, is it 5 stars? No, but Meltzer will give it 5 stars if he likes the guys rather than for the actual match! It's about content and execution. Kenny has a 5 star match with Danielson on AEW if you need an example, they never stop moving for 30 minutes and it gives you a full career story as to why both guys are so good. It's not even a spot fest, its a wrestling match! Which means they aren't getting lost and waiting to be in position for a spot! And yes this is the stuff that Cornette says and Kenny wouldn't be considered as good as he is if he didn't understand the same psychology as Cornette prescribes to, since that is what makes a good match, period!

Not a coincidence that Kenny starts catering to cornette fans, people that like him the least, at the same time that the young bucks are disowning him in storyline. It’s either a work or Kenny really does understand wrestling psychology and stopped caring what the aew base thinks of him. He’s been saying things that enrage aew fans and it’s hilarious.

You’re right. Little of column (A), little more dirt from column (B). Especially now with Kenny’s rumored return, EVP replacing him with his most notorious rival. I say let the chips fall where they may. Let the wrestlers finally have narrative control. Only wrestling fans will understand. And when the casuals finally come around to what’s going on they’ll be part of wrestling history. _There’s more than one story._ - Schmodey Codes

@@N3kk3t He's telling the truth. And this statement buries Dave Meltzer's star ratings which he has been throwing at every Young Bucks match. A lot of what he's talking about here can be applied to almost every single Young Bucks match that has 5 stars. So he basically just said that his friends have never had a 5 star match. Kenny has though, as have guys like Angle, Benoit, Danielson, Hart, etc. So Kenny has just cut ties with the lies since at this point his 5 star matches don't mean as much since Dave is giving out 5 stars to jokes and he doesn't need that association. This is something that Cornette has pointed out as well. "If everyone is super, no one is." -Syndrome

I don't think he's catering to anyone. I think die-hard Omega fans and die-hard Cornette fans have a weird parasocial relationship where they've projected a lot of what they think but don't know onto Omega based on how much Dave Meltzer jerks off to his matches. It doesn't mean that wrestlers agree with Meltzer all the time when Meltzer is riding their dick. Omega isn't the first wrestler to say he has different opinions than Meltzer does in spite of being very praised by him.

The girl trained there and they requested Omega for her First Match, because he was the safest wrestler and it would not hurt her. She wanted to wreste an adult and the Promotion granted her that Wish. It is common in Japan for beginners to train at that age

DDT was SUPER early into his career. He wasn't even over as a wrestler until formed Golden Lovers, and then joined Bullet Club. Why would you judge a man's entire career off stuff he did early on to pay the bills?
