This is the song I chose for my mother son dance at my oldest son's wedding. It was my song to him. I got pregnant at 15 with him, his father abandoned us and my future husband became his father. But, I thought my life was over, it wasn't!! He is my life.

I thought this when I found out I was pregnant when at ASVAB for the last time before enlisting for the Air Force to get my medical training to become a doctor....She is my BEST achievement!!! Am I a Doc? No...I had a choice to make... I made the right one.... I raised a Navy woman that served when the tsunami hit Japan, she saved lives and did MORE than I imagined I would ever do!!!! I had my son at 17. I was lost and so was his bio. My son is now 20 and leaving for Navy basic in April. Headed in for the nuke program. His biological father & I split before our son was 3 years old I....... Ah! This song! Oh man! I cant even explain it. He and his happiness truly became "my entire life". I didn't think I'd do the "mom thing" well. I was lost, unhappy & terrified...... Then I saw him! My lil JoJo! My baby boy! He changed me and my heart when I needed it the most. Chesney's "There goes my life" will always be my personal song to my baby boy. ♡ I'd do it again a million times over.

Nothing captured my emotions and struggles 22 years ago becoming a young mother like this song did.

So do I. My son had a baby at 18 he had the whole world in his hands. But nothing can compare to the child he has and the love this grandma who now has 3 grand babies, who are the light of all our lives. With the same girl. I'm so happy he manned up as he came from having a deadbeat birth father. He broke the chain of deadbeats in is birth fathers family. SO SO PROUD OF HIM.

Kenny, I brought you on stage in Houston many years ago at the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo. I was a radio announcer at KIKK fm. I knew nothing about you. I had been in radio a for years, but never knew country music when I was hired there. I didn’t particularly get the big deal that you were when the listeners went wild for you. Time passed. Here I am weeping over your songs. Suffice it to say, I certainly did learn to love your poetry and story telling. You do indeed write and perform the very best songs. Thanks for the memories. There is nothing better in all genres of music. Especially country music. Tham that of a performer standing on stage by himself with just a guitar. or im this case a piano. Great vocal.

My boy, at the young age of 16 had a baby girl. She is now doing neuropsychological at the age of 18. If your parents believe in you, your world is dream. Kenny, you and your girl got this.

This song always gives me chills!! Did even before I had a kid, and now that I have a 3 year old daughter and another on the way it defines exactly how I felt when I found out about her and now how I am! The original is great but for some reason this live version hits differently! Kenny always have been great at hitting home with his songs!
