1:01 no, actually the cameras in the carriage aren’t monitored, the platform ones are though, that’s why he didn’t walk down the train. One time I ran onto the train from Kennington station, and the driver walked down

The Kennington Loop has been licensed for passenger carrying traffic so as to avoid delays where drivers have to walk the train to ensure that everyone is off. They give all those warnings in case you think you might be going to Morden.

I was once on a packed rush hour train that as misrouted around the loop. Two minutes after leaving Kennington we pulled back into Kennington, and the driver had to apologise. It took a hell of a long time for a full train of people to find their way up and over to the southbound platforms again.

Reminds me of City Hall Loop on the 6 Train in NYC. That one has an abandoned station in the middle of it too. Though weirdly, even with the abandoned station, people are ALLOWED to ride around the loop. There's another loop and abandoned station in NYC but it's only used on certain weekends and people are NOT ALLOWED to ride this one. That's the Bowling Green 5 Train who uses South Ferry Loop. South Ferry station was abandoned in 2011 then again 2017 (after it's replacement station reopened from sustaining Hurricane Damage in 2012) so it's not as "secretive" as City Hall Station is. (Even I have video from the South Ferry Loop).

That was very daring. If I stayed onboard on a metro train going to a switchback in Stockholm, the drivers usually gets very crossed! There are some places were trains Changes directions on switchbacks:Metro, Red line: Telefonplan (They usually go empty to Liljeholmen for starting Another round there), Axelsberg (Sunday), Tekniska högskolan (Used to be sundays, but is rare nowdays and most for distruptions only), Östermalmstorg (Delayed trains Changes here) & Liljeholmen (Be aware, as some trains just ends here, heading to the depot. If they found someone inside on such train, they had to make an empty lap, leaving the pasenger in Liljeholmen trough an driver's cab, and then run to Zinkensdamm switchback and back.) If you are lucky, some trains changing in Liljeholmen can go empty back and forth to either Telefonplan or Axelsberg switchback as there is no room in Liljeholmen...Metro Green Line: Odenplan & Alvik: Thoose trains Changes there very often. If they have different destinations (such as Hötorget), they might park there instead, do not follow such trains if you don't want to be stuck there for a while. Also, trains going to Rocksta is heading for the depot right after service, as it is just next to the station. Some trains ocassionally Changes in Hökarängen, wich also have aswitchback. Be aware on how it ends up like later on, as it is just temporary and thoose trains might end service and go empty back and forth to an depo or something. The same might apply for Gullmarsplan, that also have a switchback.Blue line's trains do not Changes direction on a switchback. They only go all the way all the time and Changes direction on the platforms.Pendeltåg: Trains heading to Tumba, Ulriksdal, Jakobsberg & Bro have to change directions on a switchback. Be aware of that the last trains heading there might end up parking there at the end of an rush hour and you might be stuck in several hours untill the afternoon rush hour Begins. Better Watch out on such situations!Roslagsbanan also have a switchback in Ormsta. Not sure if trains parks there tough. On many switchbaks, trains lets other trains pass by to the station and can wait there for a while, especially on Pendeltåg or on Roslagsbanan... Cannot figure out other places with scwitchbacks really. and no, there are no loops at all...

+Kai Attree When asking the drivers, they seem horrified of the idea of having a passenger when going around this loop, or at and of the switchbacks on the underground (and the DLR). The only way to go around is to fall asleep. At the Harrow and Wealdstone switchback on the Backerloo line, which is out in the open, the platform staff come and check every carriage of the train before it goes up and comes back. This is crazy, I can't see what is wrong with this riding this switchback whatsoever. I read on some forum somewhere that there have been occasions of passengers panicking and trying to get off the train, sometimes between carriages. I am now on a mission to ride every london underground switchback! The stops are due to trains stacking around the loop so that the timetable can be kept to exactly due to the alternate switching at Camden. The 3rd stop just after the train had started is typical short blocks on a Seltrac system. As the blocks are short the train can start when the train in front has only moved a few meters, but this sometimes means the train has to stop again for the next block. I am going to upload a video of the DLR doing exactly this. That is just my coat in the bag. Its a cycle coat and is a bit fluorescent, but does not look like a fluorescent jacket, although someone though I was a lift engineer when they saw me opening up a lift.
