Ken Fish: Mechanics of the Spirit World - Sin, Transgression & Iniquity (Psalm 32:1-2)
Ken speaks at King of Kings on February 5, 2019. Ken teaches from Psalm 32 on how to cleanse the negative impacts of sin, transgression & iniquity. Quotes: “The Lord said to me, "Stop right there, I want to show you something, and for six weeks God took me through Psalm 32. So I read the Jewish commentaries, I read it in Hebrew, I read it in the Greek translation, I read it in several English translations, I read a bunch of commentaries by Christian authors as part of all that.”
Be blessed.
Remember: you have been “blessed to be a blessing.” (Genesis 12:2)

I know the Bible fairly well, but I'm following this plan, so each year I use a different one, and I'm following this plan and I get to Psalm 32 and the Lord says to me, "Stop right there, I want to show you something. Do you want to learn what I have to show you, or do you want to follow your stupid plan?" So I put the plan aside, and for six weeks God took me through Psalm 32. So I read the Jewish commentaries, I read it in Hebrew, I read it in the Greek translation, I read it in several English translations, I read a bunch of commentaries by Christian authors as part of all that.
But mostly what I did was I went through the entire Bible, chasing down all the threads that are tied to Psalm 32 and the deep revelation that's in it, and I want to share with you a few nuggets out of that time of exploration. So, Psalm 32 says, "Blessed is the one who's," watch this, "transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity."
Okay, we're going to come back and unpack them. "Blessed is that one who transgression, sin, and iniquity, respectively have been dealt with," we'll just say that "and in whose spirit there is no deceit." Ah, so it's more than just those three things. "For when I was silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long, for day and night your hand was heavy upon me and my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah."
What does that mean? Stop and consider, meditate on it. Chew on it a bit. So I actually had two whole days where I just meditated on verses three and four. "When I kept silent, my bones wasted away." Huh. Osteoarthritis, anybody? Bone disease of other kinds? Oh. And it seems to be tied to this. It will get better, don't worry. I'm just teasing you a bit. "And day and night, the hand of God was heavy upon me." Now there is a phrasing in the Old Testament of the hand of the Lord came on the prophet, and when that happens it's for prophecy, but this one isn't for prophecy. This one is for chastisement.
"Day and night your hand was heavy upon me and my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer." Somebody say, “Chronic fatigue syndrome. Selah. Let it sink in. Let's keep going. "I acknowledged my sin to you and I did not cover my inequity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,' and you forgave the iniquity of my sins. Selah."
He's giving the answer to the problem. But when we read it, it sounds all tangled up, and most of us just kind of blow through this, like skimming the tops of the waves. And this is more like, XO, take her down, set your depth to 100 fathoms, right? We need to go deep on this. We'll come back to it. "Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found. Surely in the rush of great waters they shall not reach him. You are a hiding place for me, you preserve me from trouble, you surround me with shouts deliverance. Selah." A third point to stop and ponder.
Now David switches. "I will teach you, I will instruct you what you should do in the way you should go. I will counsel you with my eye upon you. First and foremost, do not be like a horse or a mule who have no understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle or it will not stay near you." Now, if you've ever worked with mules and horses, they can be kind of ornery.
And the only way to make them heed is you put that bit in their mouth, and then when you pull on it and it hurts, so they'll begrudgingly go with it. David says, "Don't fight this one. Yield to it, lean into it, embrace what I am telling you, because I am telling you truth. "Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.

I have been intrigued by confessing generational sins and iniquities. I've read it in the old testament in a few places. I've heard the testimonies but I stumbled across Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.KJV So upon reading that as its talking about Jesus blood sacrifice cleansing us as we believe on Him. Why then would we need to confess something that God has already forgiven? I acknowledge our own sins we would need to confess we slip up I get it but if God's forgiven ALL our iniquities then doesn't that contradict then confessing them?

Yes, God knows but we have to confess it and renounce it because in doing so that’s how the demonic loses it’s power over us
