On the subject of gotchas: while they CAN hide vacuous points, I think the dolphin foetus is honestly a fair objection. If someone like Kirk asserts that a foetus is a full person, at a point when it's not even distinguishable AS human, while medical professionals are largely fine with aborting a pregnancy at that point...where exactly is this insistence that it's a person coming from? It's not empirically proven if ya can't even tell it apart from a dolphin on sight, and it doesn't come from scientific authority if doctors overwhelmingly disagree. The dolphin is far from the most elegant way to illustrate that point, but it's a helluva lot catchier than what I just wrote.

Crowder calling a pre-school teacher a 'psychopath' for teaching children a song that includes social awareness of why masks are necessary (to keep themselves and others safe from transmitting communicable diseases that can cause long term suffering and death) which is in effect a toddler-level skill objective in learning empathy, just makes his behavior watching the video even more absurd. If the teacher is teaching the children social responsibility and empathy...and yet Crowder is incapable of understanding that and is instead ridiculing the very notion...it is HE who is in fact the psychopath. Classic case of projection---which is common with fools like him. As for teachers sharing videos of children at the school, parents are usually given a waver for film and photos that are meant to be put on the school, and in some cases, faculty's professional social media pages (not their personal pages). All teachers know that they must ask permission of parents before posting videos to their personal social media pages and it is very rare for teachers to violate this because lawsuits can and do happen.

I'm a teacher, most daycares and schools get permission to record and sometimes post their students at the beginning of the school year. Teachers record students for the same reason football players record the last game they played. We watch the video back to see how we can improve, how our students react, and for admin that cant be there to evaluate us. Some teachers post the video on their personal social media to showcase the lessons and activities they are doing in case any other teachers would like to add it to their classroom.

Hey hasan im a teacher and wanted to comment on your take when you asked why teachers film their students. Its practiced because its a great way to let parents watch their children in action as well as hold them accountable if they are exhibiting maladaptive behavior. This also builds relationships between parents and teachers. Its very effective and successful. Also, its through special middlemen like seesaw; i would guess a parent in that classroom grabbed that video and posted it. Unfortunately you have hogs who will misuse this service for their own fb rant. I love being a teacher but parents and society hate us and it sucks. I wish more people understood us and how challenging our job actually is.

In Charlie’s defense.. most mammal fetuses’ look identical to a certain point and then begin taking form. But that was an amazing gotcha 😂

On the topic of filming kids in preschool, I have to say it's not that weird. I am a preschool teacher and with parents permission, we will record events and share it with the parents. Now I'm not sure why it went on tiktok but the account could have been a school account and someone just stumbled upon it. We have a Facebook account where we post things of the kids and anyone could view it, but normally only those involved with the school will. If anything, its weird someone made this post viral since it was probably a private thing for the parents

Photo permission is one of the first things that happened in the school year. Because schools have instagrams and need permissions to use photos for admission purposes and whatnot.

early childhood education student here! its actually extremely illegal to film ur students!! most teachers do in fact offer permission type slips with things like that!! if the childs parents say no, theyre taken out of the filming

a lot of schools have consent forms for parents to sign if they're okay with their kids pics. mostly its for like posting social media promo pics but its likely that that's the case.

Most people would be wise enough to not start a physical confrontation with a worker that gives wife beater vibes. Like, if a guy is willing to risk years in prison just because you are being meany to him, yeah, probably it is wise to not escalate it further. The male Karen is the smartest guy here by far.

The teacher recording the students shouldn't be a problem, I'd assume their school sends the parents a consent form at the beginning of each year to get their permission to record and take photos of the students. . Edit: nvm Hasan mentioned that

"its illegal to take videos of children without parents permission" its kind of a standard practice at daycares to have parents/guardians sign a video and photo release form so the daycare can post on social media (with restrictions like exact location, full names, etc)

@@heyzeuscreestow9394 city noise ordinances usually have designated times of day during which they come into effect. depending on where this guy's lawn is, there could very easily have been no such ordinance active at the time, making this man a liar in addition to being a douchebag. most noise ordinances require noise to be under 65 decibels which is just higher than most leaf blowers. additionally these ordinances are usually flexible with regard to enforcement, like a speed limit. this means these landscapers were extremely unlikely to be violating any noise ordinances unless their equipment is old enough to need replacement.
