The RS002 was mythical during the pre internet days and even until the 2000s. Like Bigfoot, Nessi mythical. Low res and grainy leaked images were out and people debated whether it even existed! 6:11 is the exact reaction people had with the RS002 for decades.

Literally rewatched this video just to see the childish grin when he first walked in and immediately came face to face with one of the most iconic group b legends. Ken was and still is awesome. Rip Ken block

RIP Ken JAN 02 '23, at least he got the chance to drive these two group b era monsters before he passed. It is sad that one of the most influential individuals involved in bringing awareness to rally motorsport is gone.

So sad. Loved watching these videos. Ken Block was an amazing entertainer, doing wild things with legendary machinery. RIP.

That S1 E2 still looks soooooooo menacing even now 35 years later. When Ken took the RS e-tron GT for a drift around it, the S1 had this look, this stance of "oh yeah, go around junior, have some fun. You have no idea what i'm capable of". This has to be one of the most badass cars ever made. The sound of that howling inline 5 alone can make most modern cars pee their catalytic converters. The hoonicorn sounds like an angry bear, some cars sound like WW2 fighter planes, some like machine guns, but the S1, especially deep in the woods sounds like something even more frightening than the devil himself, coming for your soul.

This is why Audi is so cool. Cars are meant to be driven. We want to see them go, hear them, live vicariously through them when they are being driven. And Quattro is legendary. Huge thank you to Audi for doing this.

I just lost my mind, the Group B Quattro's are things of such rugged beauty, I was lucky enough to see them race here in NZ in my early teens, my father is a sort after Race Engineer and i was lucky enough to be his shadow, The Audi Team, Lancia, Mitsubishi, Toyota etc we visited through the years, but those Quattro's were so suited to NZ they have become cars of Legend. When an official raced rally car went on display at a Car Show a few years back there was so much demand to see it that the organizers were nearly overwhelmed

It’s so cool seeing a guy who’s driven some of the fastest cars on the planet, around corners at altitude you can’t breath at. Seeing him have child like excitement driving his dream car was priceless! Congrats Ken!

As someone who has an Audi, this just makes me love the brand 1000% more. Ive never seen a company say sure, take our priceless cars out the museum and rip them😂loving this partnership already cant wait to see what Ken makes

As for someone that has their Audi in the shop because of no heat then a sudden no compression for almost a year, makes me wonder how they keep their old pieces of shit working. Lancia kicked their ass even on the gravel stages. So what if they removed some dangerous ice, any proper government would have done that anyway. '03 Audi A8L For those of you that don't know, that was $70,000 new, reduced to scrap. Audi is unreliable and expensive. If I can prevent one person from buying a used Audi, DON'T DO IT! One consolation, at least it is aluminium scrap.

They sound so incredible! I could set that audio track on repeat and listen to it all day.

I turned on KZread subtitles whilst watching the video. When the engine is singing I got "Applause" as subtitle and then "Music" few seconds later. Can't argue with that :D

My gosh. This video is just perfect! These are the rally cars everyone dreamed to drive at least once in a lifetime!

It would be perfect if Sebastien Loeb would drive these cars.

The levels of scumbaggery have risen almost beyond measure! I love this and the fact they casually let you drive historic museum pieces in the manner they were intended is immensely appreciated. Poor Scotto, at least he got to watch history being made I guess.

Pinnacle of dreams and Ken got to run the tires of these two pretty much priceless cars . I remember when this video dropped all I did was smile and laugh watching the man living his dream .

I did a five year Audi apprenticeship respect to ken I think he loves them too and nice to see his respect for the early wrc cars.

The 002 looks like the car you drew as a kid, it's awesome!

Love Audi's 5cyl but I have to give it to the Volvo S60R for that one. This coming from someone who traded his for an very beautiful supercharged Audi.

Never seen Ken get emotional, and he was a kid in a candy store walking into that garage. A true purist.

That Group B car is a wet dream! The sound of that 5 cylinder engine when it comes up on the pipe is phenomenal!
