I had a recent act of vandalism to my property. I had the names and addresses if a witness and the perpetrator. I even told the police how to investigate it but they dropped the case. Meanwhile if we state biological reality we could be criminalised. Scotland is an embarrassment.

Happened to me, Jenny, but there is now, in England and Wales, the right to have your case reviewed. I did so, pointing out the evidential strengths of the case and the pathetic excuses for not pursuing the case which pointed to a failure to properly detail what my witness had seen in her statement, and the case went to court. The offender dealt with. Of course, I had the slight advantage of both me and my brother being ex police at a time when we actually bothered to investigate crime but you should still go for a review process.

It is basically evil and allows gross misuse of power. Most folk in Scotland don't have a clue what's being done to their country but the backlash will be swift I hope. Can't have a democracy without free speech and that is what they have taken away. The police need to side with the public because if they don't the right minded citizens of Scotland will see them as a legitimate target. Theyve already had Scotlands First Minister arrested for being too successful. How would a PM go about closing devolved assemblies, something similar? The UK including England is riven by ever polarising division, caused by a PM and regime that has had no idea what they are doing and now adding fuel to flames to try and save themselves. And a second instalment saying absolutely anything to try and take their place.

The police said they won't do anything because it was made before the law came into effect So, they only act on something based on what the rules currently say, not because it's the right thing to do Wind up toy soldiers

One massive problem: they just aren't going to have enough space in those prisons, are they? They would have to build at least a gazillion new ones! And the more of us refuse to comply..? The more ridiculous it gets!!! Maybe we should also do terfy tourist excursions to Scotland, for those of us that are NOT Scottish? During which we publicly express ALL the thought crimes, in droves, just to see what happens? To further rub it in, by showing that prosecuting everyone's thought crime just simply isn't possible. :P Anyway... If I ended up sharing a jail cell with either her or JKR..? Or even some cool, random, Scottish TERF I liked? That would be an honor! I may even do it voluntarily. :P

Yes. In the end you have to stand for what you believe in. And so will the police officers who are becoming increasingly appalled at the moral abuse of their powers. They would have to lose careers, pensions and bear the scar of being dismissed from their service with all the bias and scandal that would incur.

Trouble is, many people are the breadwinner for their family and cannot afford to go to prison and lose their job etc.

If they have to investigate every report, then peoppe should flood them with claims against bigoted trans privilege activists.

Our greatest comedian Billy Connelly would literally have spent most of his life in prison under these laws. Possibly worst day in Scottish history. If I was to be prosecuted for claiming that a transwoman's a man [for a' that], i.e. if I were to assert that a person born male with the usual XY chromosomes of a male would always be male do you think I could call as a witness in my defence the Government's Education Minister and my local authority education department? I was educated albeit only to GCE 'O' level in Biology and passed that exam. How would one calculate the value of the institutional harm that I have received and maybe caused? Could I make a claim for being mal/mis-educated? etc etc.
