More people need to use this stuff. My family all lives in an area of the northeast that's much more heavily infested with ticks than it used to be. Used to be on the edge of lyme disease territory now it's a year round ground zero and people just do not want to change how they dress or spray. Not just lyme but there's a few other tick diseases that are literally killing people and it's still extremely unpopular to use permethrin. My uncle was a lifelong hunter, came down with bad arthritis in his sixties. Got to be debilitating. Doctors were like "well we know it's not lyme because we're wonderful" and they gave him some drug that bombed his liver. Died of Leukemia within eight months of starting treatment for arthritis. Three months before he dies someone finally gives him a lyme test. I'll be goddamned, you have lyme disease sir. Sux you're dead. My niece got lyme disease playing in her yard, my good friend got it from walking to the beach. people are getting it without ever going in the woods or getting bullseye rashes and lots of doctors still think it's really unfashionable to diagnose it. Ticks are killers folks, protect yourselves.

I have been using that for years Turkey hunting on the Maryland Eastern Shore .Ticks, Chiggers are terrible here. I also use a Thermacell for the Mosquitoes.Good tip for those who haven't known about it.

That Thermacell is a handy little unit also. Wouldn't think of launching the boat in after sunset without it.

Way cool, we have a couple families of cottontail rabbits that live around our property. We also have Antelope during the summer that come by and eat the alfalfa. During the winter we have mule deer and other critters that pass through. I use the permethrin that you mix in a squirt bottle and spray on your clothes way more cost-effective and can be bought at the local feed store. Thanks for the morning video, from Wyoming.

Do you live in Africa? Because that’s where antelope live.

I think you’re referring to Pronghorn, which are not technically antelopes.

My buddy and I use it when we make warm months trips to the farm where we hunt. I have to say I cannot recall ever finding a tick after using it.

Finally, someone who applies insect repellent correctly. You NEVER put it on your skin. Always on the clothing. I regularly apply it to my boots and socks, and have never had a problem with ticks since. Even DEET. You can put it on your skin, but you really shouldn't. Good tip. Thanks for sharing.

Great stuff and you are right. Don't get it on you. Acts as a nerve agent. Like in chemical warfare nerve agent.
