Join Fy Nyth on social media - mewe.com/i/fynyth ! If you are new to my channel and Fy Nyth (Welsh for "My Nest") in general, welcome! I'm Ariel. Along with my husband Clay, our dogs, cats, bees, and some poultry, we live in a tiny house on wheels in the mountains of western Wyoming and are working on setting into our own new little homestead. I've been living this lifestyle since 2014 and my wonderful partner has joined me more recently. What will you find if you follow the channel and watch the videos?
Real life here. I try to show the good and the bad. The ups and the downs. What works, and what doesn't. The parts I love (most of it!), and the things that suck. Not just the showroom version of a tiny house, but everyday life in a tiny house. Not just the romantic idea of "homesteading" or off grid life, but the everyday details of this lifestyle. We split wood for heat, fill the water tank from a gravity fed spring, and attempt to grow as much of our own food as possible between the weather and wildlife here. I hope to help others learn from mistakes and make life just a little easier for anyone else interested in pursuing a similar lifestyle.
We live in a somewhat harsh and cold climate, but enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife that we are surrounded by on a daily basis. You'll also see videos of the nature and wildlife around my home. If you are interested in my photography or purchasing a photo, I'd love if you follow that over at mewe.com/join/arielcelestepho... or ArielCelestePhotography.zenfolio.com!

I wondered about that. The critters here love to peck at lots of garden things in their reach. Birds, squirrels, and I found out that the dog even likes berries! Who knew?

I had a dog called Rob the Raspberry Robber. He loved to free range graze in the raspberry patch.

@@rubygray7749 - Decades ago, I could not understand why my raspberry bushes had berries at and near the top (about 42") but no berries lower down. Turns out my dog, Eloise, loved raspberries! She would sit and lick all the berries up to level of her "seated" nose. However, she did keep the birds away from the berries above that height, so I was able to eat a couple of bowls over the season. But there were never enough berries to make jam or jelly. Thankfully, Eloise did not like strawberries and blackberries, too.

Love the rainbow in the background! Beautiful land you two have. I did learn something I didn't notice before, your soil cuts like butter! I live in the Senora Desert 🏜️ digging holes for fruit trees is more than a challenge 🤦 love that mountain soil! 😉

I've got hundreds of black raspberry bushes I can send your way! At some point they'll have to be removed since our property has literally thousands of the thorny bushes...along with blackberry bushes, which I'd gladly share...and a few others....we designed our garden with a heavy duty tarp to keep the weeds and girls from digging and it worked like a charm. Good luck with the new layout and keeping the girls from the garden...Thanks for sharing.

That is so smart making use of your fence that way while discouraging the quack grass. I wish there was some natural solution to quack grass ... I wonder if a close grazer like sheep or goats could eradicate it in the rest of your property if confined to one section at a time?

My chickens have radio locating my garden that is made away from them. I have fencing and they have dug enough to squeeze through. Then I have to fix until they find another spot to dig enough to squeeze through. The little rascals.

Hi, happy early thanksgiving. I'm not sure I understand how this fence is going to work ... I thought Burley was your poultry protector, If there's a fence now, how is that going to work? Death to quack grass.
