We were learning about this first document this school year from our district. It’s called, “Aggressive Monitoring”. Found your account through the Art of Funology!! I’m moving to 4th grade next school year from first grade so, searching for all of the advice! 😁

Yay! You will love 4th grade! Are you in our upper elementary math teacher FB group? Also, I’ve never heard of aggressive monitoring but I’m definitely going to check it out (the name sounds harsh 🤣)

@@MixandMath No but I’m running to join it now!! 😁 No, it’s not bad at all, it’s actually really effective!!! It’s a little more strategic and with 3 different concepts you’re looking for. You announce what you’re looking for, “I’m walking around to look for ……” then you take notes and bend down to assist students if needed. You write down misconceptions and then call students who need more help in small groups directly after. -I hope that made sense!!
