Keep Or Sell the Tamron 70-180mm f2/.8 For Sony E-Mount? I've had this lens for a year now and have shot countless events and portraits with it. But now with the Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 coming out, is it worth it to hold on to? Is it still worth the price in 2022?

I had to choose between this lens and a sigma 85 1.4. The 70 180 gives alot more boka than i expected and the differences were so hard to tell. I picked up the 70 180 and i now have so much more versatility over just getting the 85mm. The 180mm focal range is a game changer for me shooting live events

I use these lens for similar situations. The Sigma is a stunner but the 70-180 is no slouch and gives you versatility with moving subjects

How did you get no dust in the lens? Mine had some big dust particles in the front element after light use over about a year. I was able to disassemble and clean it recently though.
I’m watching reviews on it but I’m scare tamron may soon announce a G 2 of this lens 🙄

Don't rely on that. That 70-180 is that latest from the original Tamron trinity. I expect 1st we will see 17-28 G2 and then 70-180 G2 ( there's already 28-75 G2). So if I have to guess maybe in 2 years.
The biggest problem is, that you don't know how to take pictures :D . This lens is famous in right hands
