Your utube has grown because you and your family great content I myself as former cattle farm injoy watching seeing how other folks farm and the new tect that come along from when I farmed with smaller equipment the biggest tractor I owned was newholland ts100 and ford 7710 still managed to work about 500 acres of mixed feed crops keep up good work

That style of sowing/planting wheat works very well. We spread our triple 19 and wheat seed all at once. We have been doing it for years. It does take more time and fuel. But it all works out.

I ended up with ring because I already had the floodlight cam that I love. Replaced my old alarm with all ring and couldn’t be happier. The amount of control/customization these systems offer is amazing and much cheaper than the contracted services. Congrats on almost 100k you’ll get there before you know it.

Great video of laying down wheat, back in late 80s I was working for a coop and we put down wheat using a terra gator with booms and drop tubes and then the farmer worked it in. It worked out well.👍

I live in North Carolina we still sod drill some wheat but we also put some in with the turbo till but we only go over it one time. We always still like to sod drill some at least half and we grow around 400 acres of wheat.

hey brian im sure youve seen it but we bought the turbo seeder option that sits on top of our turbo till and kinda just blows it all out on the ground as you run over it and we plant alot of wheat rye and even barley with it here in upstate NY and it works great

We have done our wheat that way a couple times. Mainly because it was a little wet for the drill. We just ran over ours once with our Case IH 330 turbo about 2" deep. We had great results.

One thing that helps when the seed is still on top is if u go with a land roller, we seed oats n alfalfa this way n it works well

We have been sowing our wheat that way the past three seasons. We disc the ground first then have coop double spread with fertilizer and work it in with VT tool.

Brian the way your doing the wheat will do just fine you will be very surprised. Typically with spreading we plant just a little earlier and go over the wheat one time with tillage, but we run a brillion cultipacker hooked to the great plains. One pass, faster than a drill, lots of acres in one day. Good luck with it.

I bet that wheat does pretty decent for being broadcasted. We plant rye that way for a cover crop. The rye grows up nice . We do our fertilizer and seed at the same time . We have the process down and it goes as fast as drilling it in . We run a salford vertical tillage tool across most of our fields. Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !

We broadcast spread 3 to 400 acres of cover crop and shallow hit it with a kline speed tiller. We also do wheat. Being in the NE our fall planting season is short. I swear we have less than a 3 bushel loss from what we get drilling wheat.

Hey Brian we had a JD 30 ft disc with a hitch in the back and we had a JD 8440 fwd with a Demco spray caddy putting on chemicals on the front of the disc and anyhydrous on the back side of the disc and pulling the anyhydrous tank alot of things going on and little time to react. We eliminated one pass for sure.

Having grown up on a Super M and a bunch of lessers in orange and green dress I'm just amazed at the changes in Sixty years ! I know how you feel about fall and leaf change ! I always did manage to sneak in some hunting . Later in life I could devote nearly a month to deer hunting and the large herd numbers and a lots of hungry mouths meant filling two freezers with every form of venison and bags of jerky . B ig family = big garden and lots of game harvest . Know what you mean by "deer damage" .

Ya agco/sunflower does build good equipment. We have a 50ft sunflower disk and its been great

You will love that Sunflower that's the same but ours is 60 foot i think but we run ours with our John Deere 9620r with triples pulling around 10 mph and the rolling baskets with down pressure do a amazing job.

Gotta say that tractor is right but that price and also the fact I have no need for it for what I do but hey it would make one heck of a yard ornament 😂 and I love simplisafe we have it and love it.. forsure a good plug because it actually is a very good investment. I’ve had people try breaking in and had someone come in are house 3 days before getting there system. But brain I’m glad youtube has really been a blessing to y’all. You deserve every day of it. With the demos and stuff. Keep it up brother I’ve been a suns sense September of 2018 😎

We always went twice as deep as we wanted the wheat placed. If there was any on top of the ground our turbo till baskets would push the seed in. We even seen a lil bump in our double crop bean yield maybe a couple bushels but don’t know the reason for that.
