Basingstoke Canal - Boxing Day 2023. One final kayaking adventure for 2023 along the Basingstoke Canal in Hampshire.
Completed in 1794, and built to connect Basingstoke with the River Thames at Weybridge via the Wey Navigation. At 32 miles long, some parts look unchanged over the last 230 years. Another waterway surrounded with unspoilt countryside and a place worth visiting.
Fantastic family run pub at the end of the canal by the Greywell Tunnel, The Fox & Goose, serves great food and refreshments. A great way to end a day's walking or kayaking.
