Hi clay, hats off at the dinner table , old school etiquette, something that's missing a bit now days, it used to be if you wore a hat in a pub you had to shout the bar. That was a blast Clay...".what a lovely fish get on them jigs way to go.

Got an experiment for you Clay. Make up the saltyest brine water you can, about 3 or 4 litres in a plastic bottle. In the deepfreeze it should stay liquid way below freezing temperature. Pour it in your coolbox and it should chill fish really fast. Good video, Thumbs-up

trevally is a great fish to eat especially raw. legal size is 25cm but doesnt make it easy to target! haha gr8 to catch especially off the west coast beach

Legal size is 25cm if I remember right. Great live bait for kingfish if you already have a feed and want some fun

Most of my hunting ones live on my patreon due to the restrictions put on there here by youtube.

I had a mates missus come around to give me some snapper. She offered me the ugly fish as she called it. It was a Dory. I took it acting like I was doing her a favour. An hour later my mate rung up and gave me grief hahaha. It is still the best fish I have ever had! Great vid mate and you seem to do ok on your kayak.....what would Viking know? Lol

When I jig fish in america we dont anchor up we drift and jig off the bottom and keep the jig bouncing up and down we use bucktails for flounder here

Hay Clay do you eat Almonds?, if so try dipping your fish into egg and then almond flour before frying. Blanched cauliflower and broccoli coated in fine ground nuts and deep fried, same, same for thin cuts of meat and poultry. Have you tried sesame seed coated food deep fried. Great with prawns.

Enjoy your style Clay and great to see you trying some jigs which is one of my favorite ways to catch fish. Stick to the Prowler mate its a far better quality vessel anyway cheers

All you have to do to put a cookbook together, is write down some recipes from videos you’ve made, and slap them together and get some printed.. they’d probably sell.

been busy working on the house boat.

When was this clay the weekend just gone of March 2020 if so me and my mate ted were out previous weekend off rabbit island and caught heaps of being at 25cm but got sum keepers he caught a dirt same size on a rubber sqiud jig first drop took two minutes in the drink bam also here's a hint carry a wet old towel when ya get fish as you won't hurt internernals of then when putting back or get spiked mate well done bud see you on the sea mate

Can’t see it was gonna cost Viking too much, considering they ship worldwide.

Once you get into jigging you won't go back to bait so convinient and find a better size fish . We started on the old lethal lures 120 gram single hook back in the 90's for snapper unfortunately I don't think you can get them any more. And a little black mister twister is deadly on trout.

If I remember correctly I am sure you can skin the dory and cook whole

Can use that method for gurnard as well but John dory is one of the best fish to cook with the skin on
