Excellent camp gear overview. One suggestion though, i may have missed it, but you keep refering to "someone my size" yet you dont mention what that size is. Im 5'8" 225 and so oftern kayaking equipment doesnt fit me. I swear manufacturers are discouraging those built outside the swimsuit calender from participating in outdoor activities. I often find myself struggling to find gear for myself and my guests to accommodate height and weight. The 6'6" 300 athletic guy and the 5'2" 250 lady is often left behind and id really like to change that.

The ursack does NOT stop the bear from stomping your food into mush.

That's a good point. I have always tied mine to a tree, but if they get it down, they could definitely stomp it into mush. Fortunately, I haven't run into any issues with bears yet. I'll have to do an update when I do. :)
