One of the best investments I bought for kayak camping is a Coleman Creekkooler. I never ran rapids with it but it says it can.
Everytime I pull out duct tape I can’t help but say “and now the handyman’s secret weapon” first. Good info! Just started getting into kayaking more than just around the lake and have been binging your content since then.
And!!! ANDY from recreational barrel works is a darn fine canadian lad !! So supporting them is a win win 🍁🇨🇦
I like the NRS basin that’s pretty sweet! 💪🏻
Oooh, nice looking french press, I need to grab one of those!

They are great, here is the link: planetarydesign.com/product/basecamp-camping-french-press/
Great gear test. I just bought a lightweight chair from Helinox for Bicycling, Kayak and Motorcycle trips. I was fed up with sitting on a foldable pad or finding a tree stump to sit on. Just got back from a camping trip in the Belgium Ardennes, we hit the -1C at night in june. Where is the global warming when you need it. 😉
Between french press, aeropress and instant coffee... French Press is 100% the way to go. I even bring a small grinder for fresh ground. It just taste leaps and bounds better

got the grinder too, these are my 'luxury' items.
Advice, do not pour hot water in that NRS bucket first. Start with cold then add hot on top.
Let see a few minutes in and you allude to be superior to canoes😂❤
How did you keep your communication device powered for the duration?

Most communication devices like the Zoleo (or Garmin) use very little power. You only need to power them up when you want to use them. We didn't come close to needing to charge it on the trip. That being said, I use simple portable batteries to keep my electronics charged on trip (phone, cameras, etc...)
Ken, you forgot the link for the ACA safety course 😅
