Follow along to see how Katniss reacted to her annual exam and rabies shot. This is the first time we have returned to her regular veterinarian since being referred to an internal medicine specialist eight months ago. Katniss had been very sick and was tentatively diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease (IBD). This is a life-long condition to manage and the severity ranges on a spectrum. With some modifications to her diet, we have successfully gotten Katniss stabilized and she has even gained weight! Unfortunately we are not in the clear and many questions remain about her future health. But in the spirit of taking things one paw at a time, we celebrate her progress and this good news!
