The scariest, weirdest and most memorable things that have happened to me while pet sitting!
I have been pet sitting part-time for about 10 years. I started out doing it for friends and neighbors almost as a favor, then eventually got more serious and created professional profiles on the dog-sitting app Rover and the cat-sitting app Meowtel. Pet sitting is something I LOVE doing, and while I am blessed to have never experienced a true emergency on the job, that doesn't mean I don't have some good stories!

Yes the one with the dog in particular definitely impacted me. I look back and remember how I spent the entire Thanksgiving break leading up to my first solo visit worrying about if I was going to get mauled. To me it just made sense that if the dog acted that aggressive in front of his owners then once they were gone and I entered the house it could be way worse
