I saw The Amazing Acro-Cats featuring Tuna & the Rock Cats purrform in person in Denver recently. This super talented group of rescue cats from Georgia-based Rock Cats Rescue travels around the nation putting on amazing purrformances full of pawsome tricks and catchy mewsic! It is SO COOL!
In this video I tell you all about the show & reveal some pawsome video clips of the cats' tricks and band performance.
Rock Cats Rescue has three main goals:
-educate people about the physical & emotional benefits of clicker training, which they say is a great way to bond with your cat and can even save its life
-rescue & foster homeless cats
-initiate clicker training programs in animal shelters across the nation to increase adoption & retention rates

This must have been so fun to watch! I have heard of clicker training through Jackson Galaxy. I have not tried it on my cats yet.

It was super fun! I had heard the term clicker training but knew almost nothing about it. I am trying it with Katniss and will definitely report on how it goes! The Acro-cats are also whistle trained - when they hear the whistle they all stop what they are doing and run to their carriers. Samantha pointed out this could be very important in the case of an emergency, like a house fire
