Katie Parla's Rome: Esquilino
Equal parts 19th century elegance and urban decay, the intriguing Esquiline district is a multicultural hub located near Rome's Termini Station and a short distance from the Forum and Colosseum. Its main square (Piazza Vittorio), eclectic market, and transport connections make it a natural destination for Rome dwellers of all sorts.

Thank you for this video. I appreciate your brief history, general overview, and presentation. Your video is thoughtful and creative; a comprehensive overview of a neighborhood in under three minutes is necessary for people like me who, before traveling, use social media to research and labor through hundreds of videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much for uploading this video. I am a study abroad student who was study in Rome until I was removed early March due to the virus. I had to write a paper on this neighborhood but never had time to visit during my time in the city. Your video let me see a little bit of the area and your info helped in my paper. Thanks again!!
Thanks Katie! This is great!
Katie Parla....😍😍😍
I'm glad I found this vid, my mother's maiden name is Esquilino...when I ask about it she says ''i think it's Italian but I don't know how far back it goes in my tree" ...gee, talk about being Americanized 😦
Do you provide private tours?
