In reality he’s not lmao. He gave that answer in that game changer pitch episode for privacy reasons and has since clarified if I remember correctly

@@cyansy No I'm pretty sure he actually is. At the least, he lived in that general area. He named some fairly niche stuff about cambridge (though admittedly that could be because he went to a small school in the area - but also who goes to a tiny school if you're not from the area. Only local kids do that). And his father worked for a university in that area and then ran for governor of MA. Like I'm not saying he was necessarily born and raised there, but there's public information that he has a several years worth of connections to the general area, I don't think it's a complete ass pull.

@@billclockwell Yes, his father, at least, was a professor for a while, at a college near Cambridge. Sam also went to a colle in Cambridge for few years. More famously though, he also ran for Gov of Massachusetts and was /a cabinet secretary/.

I loved the intro, because the last time Katie and Brennan were on an episode together, she said “we never know [what the game is],” and Brennan mentioned Game Samers and she was like “Brennan, never correct me.” This episode, the same interaction between her and Sam happened, Brennan said nothing, then looked over at Katie and she nodded approvingly. Underrated comedic duo.

I don't think they could have done a fourth tier as easily, because the third tier would DEFINITELY notice any weird requests sent their way. It would have been awesome if the fourth tier was also playing with a combination of the tier 1 and tier 2/3 boards though, so although they couldn't force people to do their classic bits they wouldn't need as many.

This was my favorite game changer yet, way too good lol

I have a feeling Brennan still holds a grudge from that one time Sam locked him up, just a hunch really

Katie got to use her history major on this one

Katie is the absolute wingman, always willing to back up whatever was just said with a convincing voice. She is the John Wick of No laughs newsroom and the Samewise Gamegie of Game Changer.

This whole episode was fun, but it also really became a serpant eating its own tail. It will be interesting to see where Sam takes it from here. It feels like they're on the precipice of escalation at the expense of entertainment, but it also seems like they know it.

Three layer joke - humanity and human ancestors evolved in Africa and spread out from there There's a different Game Changer episode where they were trying to sell random items to Sam, and a bunch of contestants would start by asking him where he was from.
