Honestly I kind of love it. I love the shenanigans these players get up to, but sometimes it's also fun to have a scenario where it's like "Naw. The shenanigans won't save you." It helps that it was ultimately a big shenanigan on Brenan's part

We are messed up and blew most of our spell slots on fighting sex-bots" and immediately started trying to haggle and backtrack when realizing Brennan wasn't going to let them game the riddle.

the hardest "no" Brennan as a DM ever dealt in D20 and i was not disappointed

My favorite part of this is the confidence Emily has in saying "A crisp $500 bill," something that is not used as currency in the world of Fantasy High, or in the real world either.

The most unconventional, simple and stressful riddle at the same time

You know brennan worked at a summer camp because of how he handles this

You can tell where Brennan was getting a little fed up- "Here's the thing. You keep offering other ways it's gonna work, and it's not gonna work any other way than the way I want it to." LMAO me too Brennan. Me too

Every second, minute, hour, day of effort that Brennan and the team put into this bit was absolutely worth it

This is DND in it's most quintessential form. DM has a baby puzzle for babies that the players try to drastically overcomplicate for literally no reason except because they can.

Brennan heard Aabria say ‘You don’t have to get ready if you stay ready’ while GM-ing ACoFaF and really took that to heart for this season

The buildup is so disproportionate to the punchline, it makes it really funny!

The Vulture King is such a wholesome character. The providing options for riddle answering. The leaning in for the kiss. The very sweet way Brennan says "You passed!" Not to mention the whole riddle just being like "Don't you think vultures are neat?" I love this maybe a god so much 🥲 Honorable mention to the joy in everyone's face when they say "Yay!"

Oddly this felt like Game Changer revenge. Brennan's turn at being the Riddle Master lol. I also kinda picture the vulture kind being played by Sam.

Much attention is rightfully being paid to how rigid the Vulture King/Brennan was about the rules of the riddle, allowing no shenanigans to derail the ultimate question, but remember that not only did the Intrepid Heroes vote to answer the riddle simultaneously, right before this clip starts the first question the Vulture King asks them is "Will you answer my riddle now or later?" All evidence points to him being a man (vulture?) of his word, which means it was fully within the players' capacity to have one person answer the riddle at a later time and they simply chose not to. Their fate was in their hands.

If them trying to find a loophole and Brennan shutting it down was the whole episode I would have been fine with it.

Even after learning what the riddle was, I still think these goofs had a chance of dying

Simultaneously and unanimously.

My favorite part is they have the battlemap for the vulture king and dimension ready because they could ABSOLUTELY fuck up the riddle if they didnt get out the chaos with that simulatenously choice

This is the highlight of Gorgug's day for sure 😂

It was kind of necessary. Zac mentioned at the end of the episode before this one that he initially felt that Brennan had to bend the rules to save their battle - so showing that the Vulture Dimension existed all along and wasn't just a scramble to help them out was rewarding.

I thought the riddle was “will you elect one answer or will you all answer simultaneously” And then just watch as everyone dives into chaos

I had two instances of the video playing and I just thought there was an echo effect going on in the room as part of the puzzle/riddle, the lack of reaction to the echo made me realize it was not actually a part of it
