The "bottom" and PTSD does not have an age limit. It does not distinguish between age, culture, or traumatic situations. Ask any nurse, like me, in the health care setting of Emergency Departments or floor nurses. Don't feel alone or embarrassed. There are more your age than you know.

@@raincadeify Well, she even mentioned the legal battle she is engaged in with ex-pharma CEO Samuel Johnson after she started a public pressure campaign to have him fired based on a viral Twitter video. While the video appears to show a man harrassing a cross-dressing teenager, the fact is we have no idea what happened before the camera was turned on. Johnson claimed he was provoked. And nothing really happened other than a few heated words. But Kathy Griffin decided that it was up to her (and the internet mob) to act as judge & jury for this case. Classic cancel culture behavior.

I also played behind a ddt truck in the Summers as a kid. I ended up with golf ball size parotid tumor at 16 yrs old. I always wondered if it was the sweet smelling cloud that we used to play in. Glad to see Kathy back. She's a comedian. We have 1st amendment right! Big deal.

I love that they discussed PTSD. Complex PTSD (CPTSD) is when there are multiple traumatic events over a long amount of time. I have it as well and dealt with constant vomiting for months. I haven’t heard any one else talk about having that symptom before!

Lost my Mom to lung & throat cancer in 1991. She was 71, and never ever smoked anything. My family felt it was environmental ( L.A., CA. ) cancer - smog & gas emissions and smoke-filled cabins of airplanes back then.

Subscribed. I actually just started social media at 39 years old. I have a LinkedIn and a KZread, I apparently bypassed a ton of negative energy. I looked at tiktok when I started this KZread experiment a few months ago. I chose KZread because it felt more open to creating anything I wanted.

Kathy is living proof that in show buissness its not what you know but who you know.

*Yoga teacher of 30+ yrs. here.* Howie's son is accurately referring to cat and cow (sometimes called cat and camel, sometimes called cat and dog) poses. (they are considered back and front bends, respectively.) What Kathy is talking about may be what I learned as Howling Wolf (or something like that). In it, we'd go back and forth between cat and cow to the rhythm of our breaths, making a loud exhaling sound on each cow pose. Very energizing, but be extra careful if you have any neck issues.

Yoga teaches us to approach life with a kind of non-judgmental curiosity. When we can do this, your question can evolve to something like, "What pose(s), breathwork, meditation, or other practices could help me, in this moment, to release trauma from my past... and _how_ might I practice these techniques so that the release is optimal -- i.e., it is manageable for *my* particular nervous system, and does not overwhelm me?" Poses (and other practices) interact with, and are not separate from, our bodies. So our inquiry is benefitted by an _internal_ focus. It's helpful to ask, "What is *my* current situation related to trauma, and what might work best with *my* specific situation, in *this* specific moment?" That said, I can tell you more about a specific iteration of yoga nidra that has been scientifically studied, and shown to be quite effective in treating military personnel and others who are dealing with PTSD. (I happen to be certified in this protocol, and have worked with clients, using the techniques, for 17 yrs.) 😇 🙏

Approx 52:00 in. Couldn’t agree more jacklyn and howie. Always be your authentic self and the right people will gravitate towards that. Kathy is an infectious personality we’ve loved her since day one and sometimes during the chaos of everything we can lose sight a bit trying to relate with audiences but that’s really good advice you guys! Not that she’s doing anything wrong- but you’re right when we get this version of Kathy like this podcast was amazing to watch thank you and love you all 🤍🤍🤍

😢 , well.idk. she got cocky, like she thought she was untouchable. And it's not funny ..cause even as much c h as ppl absolutely despise the ppl in office right now , the other side wouldn't go there or that far , third a joke ?? Really , that joke absolutely flopped and what she got was what she got. It's a genuine reaction to going beyond bad taste , and here she's watered down cause she knows if the real her was one here right now. She would be right back where she was. She's trying a fake Kathy griffin right now
