I'm going through a really hard time in my life right now, a lot of really severe depression, uncertainty if I should even go on living. I got into listening to Kate Bush recently and great music like this is the only thing really helping me to hold on. I simply can't give up now after hearing her music. It's really saved my life, I wish I could thank her in person somehow.

Last year I had covid. I got my KZread activity summary. 300 hours of Kate Bush, music, interviews, all sorts. It didn't feel like anywhere near that long.

A constant risk taker all in the name of art. Her performances are sublime. So unique. No one like her. Irreplaceable brilliance. She is operating on another level, another planet.

Never seen this choreography before. Kate is a genius, always trying something different. Yes so ahead if her time and timeless!

Love this!❤ I was lucky enough to see her in 1979 in Machester (England), and I still have the £3.50 ticket.

Her creativity and writing skill are often praised (and rightly so) but the sense of movement, fun and theatrics she puts into all her live performances is much underrated IMO. Everything she does is a visual feast and a joy to watch.

Clearly, it's just luck of genetics that Kate Bush was a stunning beauty but the ability to combine that natural element with the genius of her art made her one of the most beautiful women ever to grace the planet.

"I was hiding in the room in my mind..." Kate was a one and only!

The beauty of Kate Bush is..she didn't just raise the bar for a female songer songwriter in general...she raised the bar for Kate Bush....almost 40 years later....u cannot just rewatch the above clip (as well as others) and just feel utter joy of her existence in our universe....and the future generations who have yet even to be born that will be touched in the exact same way

She was so quirky, sexy and talented. And I'm still in love with her after I saw her first on SNL 40+ years ago.

I'm not sure if words are enough. Feelings would be much better. Unfortunately I can't type feelings. Stunning performance.

She is a genius artist and underrated. Her performances are as captivating as the music she pulled from deep inside. She inspires me as a musician. But she brings art alive in the truest sense. And honestly…Del Palmer is an incredible bassist and musician in his own rite. I’m a big fan and it shows in my bass playing as well (that pillow like bass cushion- omg amazing).

Del Palmer was a brilliant bass player and helped so much with Kate’s music as he also was her sound engineer. He was an excellent artist releasing 3 albums in his own right.

Kate Bush stopped performing 40 years ago.After a lighting engineer died.He fell through a trap door on stage.And hit the concrete under the stage.

What a beautiful performance, smile, voice, eyes, soul and heart, there will never ne anyone like this Woman, an absolutely genius. I'm only 19 but i feel very grateful for living on the same time as Kate. We were blessed with her existence.

Just astonishingly creative, wonderfully freaky and with that English sensibility. She is a treasure.

Ahhh... undoubtedly the loveliest creature ever to grace planet Earth. Everything about her is sublime.

So cute and sensual in this performance. Kate's an international treasure, this is by far my favorite version of "Them Heavy People" I've never heard her live with a full group of BG vocalists, this actually sounds live too, it's definitely different than the album version if it wasn't fully live? It's so funny, at this tender age, she had to play the ingenue on stage and in interviews, yet she was 100% fully in control of her image, songs, albums and everything in her output by this point. Yet she still managed to come off so authentically, incredibly nice, humble and sweet in every public appearance and clip. That alone is an amazing achievement for the era, considering how cutthroat the music business was and is. She really is one of a kind, there will never be anyone even remotely like her.

How much fun did Kate have doing that? Not as much as we had watching her, a dozen times a month!

There are two people I remember from way back when Saturday Night LIve really was not ready for prime time. Leon Redbone, sadly gone now, is one. Kate Bush is the other. I've been addicted to her angelic creativity ever since.

It's funny that you should say this because I've always thought of Kate Bush as a female version of Bowie. As you say very much ahead of her time. Sadly I never got to see Kate perform live but a friend of mine who did said her shows were out of this world... a real performer. I'd love to meet her!

I think I was revising for a test, when I first heard this song. After the test, (which I passed), managed to get hold of the long playing record version of this song. Now forty years later, hearing it again, fantastic. Memories came flooding back. Thanks Kate.

Yeah, me too. I was just 14 so I was like "what the hell is this?" later somebody in college turned me on to "The Dreaming" album and it blew my mind.

As a 49 year old disabled man I don"t remember this at all! Was this Kate"s Christmas Speicial! A great performance from a great singer! Thank You Symphonyflowers GOD BLESS!

She was/is one of a kind - I remember watching this when it 1st aired, and I had never seen anyone do a performance of this kind - except in musical theatre and performance art. It seems as if a lot of wildly creative people were signed by the major labels back in the 70s who would *never* get notice today ... she would be an indie act if she were a new artist now.

She's my absolute favourite singer.

What I love about her is her respect for men and the beauty she finds in their bodies. Being a man, I get a bit tired of songs that demean men. I have never felt that from Kate. I came to her by chance. I was really into female voices at the time and I had to pick between Amy Grant and Kate Bush as to which of their CD's I would buy. I did not know either. I picked Kate's Whole Story, which I did not know was her greatest hits. Right when I heard Wuthering Heights, I was blown away. I went back and bought everything she put out, even a bootleg called Shrubberies of just her at the piano and really young. I thought all of my friends would hear the brilliance ... they did not like her. Needless to say, it warms my heart when I read all of the wonderful comments about her. Although, many people claim she is a female Bowie; I see her more as a female Peter Gabrial. Actually, she is really in a category all by herself. A wonderful, modest, creative, fearless, and beautiful artist. When I first heard Tori Amos, I could see other women performers (and men) were listening.

@Electric Sheep electric sheep why not just respect that both sexes have struggles. I'm sure there are songs disrespecting men but there sure as hell are a fuck ton disrespecting women. Both are real issues. You cant tell someone to shut up about an "ugly topic" when someone already brought up an uglier one.
