Her body language in this piece with the silhouette cast by her fringe really takes it to a new level with a sprinkle of magical realism. Truly a masterful study. Good song as well, it's crazy how she has that much vocal capacity, there's so much tone. She has such a strong lyric but she really explores the tone and feeling emotion: "I die with him, again and again/And I'll feel good in my revenge" and "You've made a wake of our honeymoon". It really is art and philosophy and storytelling while still being entertainment.

The beautiful thing about Kate is that she can be "crazy" without having to dye her hair funny colors or wear outlandish outfits. She never needed gimmicks to call attention to herself. She let her songs & dancing do the talking.

OMFG I love priest Paddy's expression whenever the guy gets shot. HILARIOUS!

Still an amazing performance after all these years , it never gets boring as nothing does for our Kate, she's a complete all round singer, artist and performer, and all round bonkers. Amazing talent.

This performance was so amazing! Great song and she's incredible in general but this performance really stands out to me as my favorite.

"A Kate Bush Christmas special without at least three deaths is considered a dull affair."

This song was recorded in my mind since my early childhood, and I spent years trying to know who was the singer and what was the song !! All what I know was the music and that there was a bride and dead groom, with no lyrics, no song title, and no singer name! Even playing it on a keyboard didn't make anyone knows what was it! I'm SO THANKFUL to finally find it today! It was in my head for more than 30 years, searching for it was so difficult! So beautiful! Thank you! Mercy! You have no idea :)

@Symphonyofflowers - and there are the nuances that only Kate can give to the song, as well. The quasi-sexual overtones of the bride finally coming for her groom, the inversion of the wedding vows in the invocation of the funeral rites (ashes to ashes)....she's so intensely talented.

She is the greatest love of my life.

The number of times as a teenager I stood in a record shop with 'The Kick Inside' in my hands. I'd bought the 'Wuthering Heights' single, but I never bought the album. As a working class lad from Salford, it just didn't seem macho to do so. However, my younger brother did become a very big fan of hers, probably thanks to me.
