  Hmm, she signs it better than Lynn Hilary, but Lynn's voice is more pleasant. Not that Lynn's renditions is at all bad or Kate's voice is not up to snuff. Just drawing a comparison based on one of my favorite acapella celtic song. Of course Lynn is Irish and Kate is English, so there may be an irony there.

  No, this song has nothing to do with Prince. The song where Kate collaborated with Prince was "Why Should I Love You" from the same album. But Kate wrote most of the song.

  Yes, the song is inspired by the film "La mariée etait en noir" or "The Bride Wore Black" by François Truffaut. But it was Jeanne Moreau who played the leading role, not Catherine Deneuve. And the men killed the groom on purpose, not by accident.
