if it would only be that. i think the board is quite blurry. the white pieces on the light-blue squares are hardly visible.

bronstein is so funny when he talks about keen. he said keen wrote that bronstein never was on the height of botvinnik and bronstein said if thats so why did i beat him then before the match??? did anyone ever ask keen about the insident?

22:52 Kasparov should had played Rh4, attacking the Queen and disabling H-line checkmate.

lol how they mark it after saying kingside and saying on this side of the board... i mean to what people are they explaining what the kingside, if they dont know where the kingside is they are obviously watching the wrong program.

At 24:17, short missed his chance to win with rxe3 fxe3 qxe3 check and after kf1 or kh1 black plays qf3 check followed by re2 and white cant stop qg2 mate without giving up his queen. Blitz or not fischer wouldnt have missed that short was ok but not one of the greats and certainly not as good as henry blackburne

Doesn't qf2 defend - instead of moving the king?
@chrisatkeson4638

Aidan Boyle There is nothing there. re3 e3 qe3 would simply be met by qe2 and even if white moved his king he has kg2 which is a much better square. I don't think you should be judging Nigel Short's ability until you have a better understanding of the game.

Understandable, because the recording is from 1993, main thing is, at least you can see it and make out their moves.

is this a joke video?? first short plays a waiting move like h6 and then he does the unimaginativ standard threat of h3 and they wow brilliant plan. if i didnt know it were for real, i would think its a joke video. but still u must admit seeing someone who looks like a 14 years old playing the champion, still a great feat.
@colinjava84474 жыл бұрын
That digital board is hideous, I know it was the 90s but could do a lot better than that, can't even see the white pieces on white squares

lol the commentators are so unprofessional, arguing with each other, talking over each other...
