I have no recollection of this, although I'm old enough. If I ever cross paths with Nigel Short, I'll ask him if he's that guy from The Master Game!

wow i thought chess had progressed i was wrong, those rinky dink productions that chess channels online use for commentary are terrible, look at that beautiful studio really well presented well designed, made a big difference to the overall feel of the game, nice job, amazing what a bit of money and a decent designer can do for the game !

No se distinguen bien las piezas del tablero electrónico y la calidad de imagen no es óptima. Sin embargo es un hallazgo impresionante poder apreciar como pensaban estos genios del Ajedrez.

very unfortunate that better quality video isn't preserved. doesn't BBC or whatever network have this somewhere in better quality?

Just as in Game 10 Short vs kasparov 1993...Short let this one slip when it seemed a totally dominant position

This my favourite era of chess. I'm not fond of the graphic of the board though. It's a bit sore on the eyes.

It's a pity engines ruined this kind of chess presentation, where people actually explain their thought process. Instead we get endless realms of lifeless computer variations, that are completely over the head of any non master player. Just terrible.

Nigel sounds completely different than his sexist rants 25 years later LOL

The latest thing I heard him rant about was grade inflation and how the people with his peak grade aren't as good as he was then. Which is actually thought to be a mathematical problem with grades which can either be left or have arbitrary solutions applied to it - if he'd bothered to reAD/think about it for 10 minutes.
