We did our Kashmir Great Lakes Trek in the month of July (From 3rd July - 8th July 2023).

Day 1 of the Kashmir Great Lakes Trek commences from the picturesque town of Sonmarg, known as the "Meadow of Gold." As we set foot on this incredible trail, we are immediately greeted by the awe-inspiring beauty of Kashmir. The camera captures lush green meadows, vibrant wildflowers, and snow-capped peaks that seem to touch the heavens. The trail meanders along the course of the Sindh River, providing soothing melodies of flowing water as our constant companion.
As the sun starts its descent, we arrive at our first campsite - Nichnai. Nestled amidst the grandeur of the Himalayas, this serene haven offers a tranquil respite for trekkers.
Day 2 takes us on an exhilarating journey from Nichnai to the enchanting Vishansar Lake. The trail takes us through Nichnai Pass, a challenging yet rewarding segment blanketed in glistening snow. Each step brings us closer to the pristine white wonderland, and the sense of accomplishment is palpable.
Upon conquering the pass, we are treated to the mesmerizing sight of Vishansar Lake. Its crystal-clear waters reflect the surrounding snow-capped peaks, creating a surreal landscape that feels straight out of a fairy tale. The sheer magnificence of this glacial lake leaves us speechless, and the camera works overtime to capture every angle of its beauty.

Hello water repellent shoe will work ? Or need a proper trek shoe Even is it necessary to workout before planning the trek As i am going on saturday 12th aug So have a good shoe of skechers which is water repellent and good year grip

Yes, you need good trekking shoes. If it’s water repellent, then it’s great. Yes, running 5 kms a day for at least 15 20 days would be great. Skechers has trekking shoes ??

Hi, thank you so much for watching. You can go without the guide and take a permit for yourself till VISHANSAR/Kishansar lake ( if starting from Sonmarg). If you are starting from naranag, you can visit till Nandkol/Gangbal lake on your own with a permit. If you want do to the complete trek, you need to go with a trekking company.

Thanks a lot for watching. Glad you liked the video. I would say take the poncho it’s more beneficial coz it covers your bag and legs properly. If you don’t have a bag then wind cheater is good.

Hey I was carrying the powerbank 30000 mah. More than enough to charge two phones and a go pro. 😊😊 of course your luggage weight will increase by 2 3 kgs. If you have just one phn. 10000 Mah is fine.
